CoD4 GOTY Edition Map Pack Question

I bought CoD4 GOTY edition recently and I was under the impression that it included a code for the Variety Map Pack (which I thought was the whole point of the GOTY Edition). I checked and there is no code to be found for the map pack. Is mine missing or was I just misinformed?

Did you buy it preowned? I bought mine preowned and the code still worked. i don't know it the previous owner actived it or not. But yourwelcome to try my code if you want :)

I bought it brand new. I opened it expecting to find the code and there was nothing there. :cry:

Sorry for the double post, but should I get in touch with their customer support or would that just be a waste of time?

Aren't the maps included in the disc?

Not from what I can tell. I was in a party with a friend last night who has the map pack and at the bottom of the screen it said "Vairety Map Pack disabled due to one or more players missing content". So I'm guessing there's supposed to be a redeemable code, but I just didn't get one.

The new GOTY discs dont have the map packs for some reason. My friend bought one and he didnt get the map packs too. He paid 800 MS points to get the map packs. I did get the map packs when I got the game, but it was more than a year. My friend got it on thanksgiving day 2008 and yeah as i said, no map packs.

Lol. What's the point of labeling it as GOTY if it is exactly the same as the normal version?

my copy came with the map packs it should just be a little peice of paper floating around in the case. where did you buy it from cause if its from eb their cases are open so someone could have taken the paper out for themselves but i haven't heard of people not getting their code before try calling M$ or whatever service number comes with the game or you could just try returning the game and then repurchasing a new copy.

I got it at Gamestop and it was still in the plastic wrap so there is no way someone could have taken the code. I'm guessing they just got cheap and stopped including map pack codes. It was probably just a "limited-time only" kind of thing.

Nope. When my friend bought the GOTY edition, he got the map pack, so I assumed every copy of the GOTY edition came with it. Guess not... just a box that says "Game of the Year Edition" with the same exact content. Weird, huh?

The first shipments of Call of Duty 4 GOTY came with the map pack code, the new shipments don't. (well, that's what I heard)

So I go and get this Game of the Year today. No paper, no code, no mention of maps.

I bought it brand new and paid more for it. Great, now it's opened.

I guess they want me to BUYArma 2 and Operation Flashpoint and Bad Company instead of their next game.
