OK I know there only about a million of things like this but my choice is wait a month for cod4 (which i think looks slightly more fun) or buy gears of war tomorrow. I only have one game right now on 360 so consider that to since i probably will only have a few more days completel juice the single play, multiplay will last me a year (yes it is halo3).
Cod 4 all the way.the cod series has always been one that im yet to get sick of.i still play cod 2 of 360 even to this day.the only cod that i didnt like was cod3 and that was absolutely $*@T. but i can tell you this now that the beta for cod4 was wicked and i cant wait to get my hands on a copy.this will bring many months of hell for my xbox.
It's true, Gears of war can wait, the online community will cuss you out whenever you join anyway, so go for call of duty 4, it's more of what ppl already love, but new to cod4 is the physics, cod deaths always fealt scripted (BADLY), now they got a nice ragdoll effect, and u get a chance to establish urself as a top player if u just have patience and wait for cod4.
Get COD4... The online in Gears is really bad, people always kick you when you join or just team kill you. Playing the game with friends is fun tho, and coop is fun aswell. but IMO COD4 will be the best game out this year
I couldnt get into Gear i played it for a few days and havent played it since while with COD2, COD3 and the COD4 Beta i cant stop playing i have put more hours into each of those than any other game except maybe Forza 2 so i would have to say COD4.

Call of duty 4 is just another first person shooter that brings nothing new other than brilliant graphics to the table. But gears of war has not been done before plus it's out now and it's cheaper!
CoD4 just the MP alone makes it better, its hands down the best MP you can play on the 360 it makes Halo3 and GEOWs online look like a damn joke. But the SP also looks to be pretty good too the PC demo was great so its win-win for CoD4.
bro, get both please, please! i asure you that you will love both, if you like shooter both gamesare awesome shooters, i'm still playing gears of war and i'm loving it like its the the first time i'm playing it, and i'm looking forward to call of duty 4 just as much as the next guy so get both if you can i promise you you'll have a blast.
i haven't played the cod 4 beta so i dont know if it's fun but it looks amazing, but gears of war had an amzing single player and multi player which lasted for months without getting boring so either one would be a good choice

Agreed!!! Plus,COD4 hasn't even come out yet.
theres nothing new about gears at all. maybe if your 12 and started gaming with the original xbox...
Get Gears of War man, it's a totally new FPS experience, it's not just another fps with fancy graphics. The campaing is not that large but you can still have way more fun playing it in multiplayer. :)

Call of duty 4, you got to get it. you have to earn challenges thru the game so you can earn weapons and different things, is more fun that playing Gears.
totally 2 differnt games.... do you prefer realistic or scifi. i prefer realistic so it thought that gears of war sucked im sorry but i couldnt stand it.... the story was ok i dont mind fighting aliens ina story mode but when it comse to multiplayer and it takes 2 clips to kill a guy then that pissis me off which is y i prefer COD 4 and the beta was awomei played it longer than the halo3 beta and still halo sometimes pissis me off becauseits sounrealistic. but hey each to thier own likings
