So I am planning on getting 3 games this month : mass effect for sure, assassins creed for sure but I need a shooter. The reason I havent got orange box yet is because I played and beat half life 2 and episode 1 on my pc but my pc cant handle team fortress 2 very well. So the only games that would be new to me would be portal, episode 2 and team fortress. So what do you guys think I should get ? I havent played the demo for cod4 yet but the screenshots look awsome and people have been hyping it a lot.
Depends on what you like more. I heard Portal is one of the most innovative games to be created in the past couple of years but it's also very short so maybe a rent could suffice there.
I'm personally going to get COD4 but that's just because I like modern shooters and I don't really like shooting monsters so it's a clear choice for me.
I said that simply because while Half Life 2, episodes included, are fun and kind of long, Portal is short, and Team Fortress, IMO, is terrible. Orange Box might be longer, but CoD4 looks awesome and the MP will kill Team Fortress and Im thinking SP will beat Orange Box.
COD4 the orange box has been a good way to span those 3 weeks in between thier releases but I think I still put more hours into the COd4 Beta than I have the Orange boxfor all 5 games. Still if you find the money for Orange box its definatly awsome..........but COD4 owns all.
