I don't think they will hurt CoD4 too badly. CoD4 is extremely popular, and while some people will no doubt switch games, I think many will come back to CoD4. Battlefield will probably get a nice community, as will Rainbow Six 2, but CoD4 is, as I said, extremely popular, and I think it will remain that way for a while.

Vegas will probably steal some people and maybe Battlefield, but i doubt the others will draw much attention. Cod4 is such a user-friendly, smooth game, that it will be hard to beat.
No, they won't. The may be just as good or maybe better, but COD4 stands as one of the greatest FPSs to date if not of all time. People will still be playing it one or two console generations from now if not more. PLUS no one knows how good those games will be for sure.
Naturally, some people may stop playing it for a while, or maybe trade it in, sell it, or whatever, but a lot of people are going to stick with it because it is just a good and fun game.
I can definitely see it happening but not for a while now. We've seen great shooters lose its multiplayer community due to new games coming out like GoW and R6V so it's definitely possible which is what I dislike about Xbox LIVE. As soon as a new great multiplayer game is out, people seem to migrate there. What ever happened to those long lasting multiplayers that would last for years and years with a strong population like Counter-Strike, WCIII, Starcraft, etc.?
I hope not because my xbox broke after I played it for literally 10 seconds. I should be getting it back in a couple days but still. I'm already pissed that I had to wait until Christmas, not knowing my box was gonna break.
Graw matches see the same thing..new game comes out and it gets a little dead...but after a few weeks it is right back to where it started....Cod4 while is a great game..it is a night a day difference between the game play of Graw or Vegas...
Iguess my point is..if you play Graw or if you play Vegas..games like COD4 of Halo really don'taffect the online play
No frontline is going to be the biggest failure. I have high expectations for Bad Company though since that is supposedly going to have 90% destructible objects. All Call of Duty 4 to live longer is release more perks or come out with a patch that lets you go up more prestiege. Rainbow Six is whatever but it was really only played a lot because no other shooters were good out that time except like Gears but thats not a fps.
battlefild is differnt type of mility games ~but who knows with there new engine 90% destruction if this game susceed's well see more with this engine so ya it could

Rainbow Six will probably draw me away for a while but with the prestige mode in Call of Duty I am hooked. I can't wait for new terrorist hun levels (hoping its on there) on Rainbow Six 2. People will come back to Call of Duty just like they still come back to Gears.

what about Army of Two. But anyways this are all multi platform games. and Just to say that Haze, Killzone 2, Resistance 2 are coming out for the ps3, yeah my time with COD 4 will be decreasing.
I think that Rainbow 6 will take a large percent of COD4's community, all of my friends came from R6V and all have sed we cant waite for that 2 come out!! as for the rest you will probly get some community but not as close as COD4 or raonbow 6!
look at hale and call of duty I THINK taht COD4 took alot of halo players and swithced them to COD4!
I don't see Battlefield Bad Company having much impact. The Battlefield series is made for the PC afterall and with only 16 players online on the console versions it really doesn't have too great a chance. Turok? Who even cared about that series anymore when it was on the N64?
I think Vegas 2 and Battlefield are the only two out of those that can take any significant amount from COD4 but i think once the dust settles after those COD4 will still have a very active community.

The only one of those games, that I think will be able to compete with COD4 is Battlefield: Bad Company...
Those games will probably not take too much away from CoD4 but the thing that will kill CoD4 is time. Call of Duty is turning into one of those a new year a new game series with the switching off between Treyarch and IW and I really don't think nearly as many people will be playing CoD4 when CoD5 comes out its just how things work. Sure there will be the die hards years from now playing it like they do with 2. But the only console online shooter that has proven it can withstand the test of time is Halo. Halo 2 was the top played game on Live for 3 years and it still is with 3. CoD4 has alot of people on all the time sure but Halo 3 still has usually three times as much or more.

Turok was a pretty damn good game, it scored very high when it came out. I think the multiplayer on it is going to be just another multiplayer but the single player might just be fun again.
I think rainbow six vegas 2 is going to give players what they are desperately missing on COD4 and thats tactics. If your team is communicating your team is probably winning, and if both teams are communicating then its probably a damn good game. I havent gone back to vegas cuz it takes way too freakin long to get into a game.
no way. cod4 is pure magic!!! i got tired of cod3 very quick but not with cod4. i hav herd that the developers of cod3 are doing cod5 & its going to be a ww2 setting. i'm just getting sick of ww2 fps's. its been done too many times

people say that gears is out of gas buh i just started playing gears again and i relized how addicted i was too it now im playing like 2 hrs a day on it
Turok will be fun (online sounds pretty cool), Frontlines will be fun (kinda like BF2, but with 100% more remote control car/heli craziness!), Rainbow will of course be fun (basically an expasion pack for what we know and love), but I don't know, COD4 seems like it'll be going strong for awhile. Especially if IW releases some new maps.
Well the only major game in that list that might steal some people from CoD4 would be "Rainbow Six Vegas 2" but Call of Duty 4 can get repetative and within the next 3 to 6 months it looks like a lot of people will be drawn away from CoD4 by the massive amount of amazing games coming out this year. We've got Burnout Paradise, Grand Theft Auto 4, Army of Two, Saints Row 2, Gears of War 2, of course the new Rainbow Six and hell lot of other new games to. I still don't think CoD4 would be left in the dust but it looks like it will lose a lot of gamers.
If you think it looks bad then damn you have got to be to the extreme picky. I think it looks just fine and this is coming from a guys that went out to buy a new pc so that a game like crysis would look awesome on it. I love nice graphics and there is by no means anything wrong with Turok's graphics. I don't even mind the way Culdcept Saga looks mainly because I realize that not all games have to be the next Far Cry or Crysis in terms of graphics. I also noticed you played KUF: CoD is way worse than Turok gameplay wise and the graphics don't look any better.
