COD4 turning into Halo3

I remember when halo 3 came out nearly everyone bought it, adored it, worshipped it, watever.. then after a month or so the bashing began..

Then... COD4 came out.. and just as Halo 3, everyone bought it, loved it, watever... and now.. just as Halo 3.. the bashing has begun.

Which brings me to my next point.. dont smoke crack.

Discuss? I think you made this topic after reading my post in the other COD4 thread. I wrote.....

"If you asked this question a week after COD4 came out 90% of the people would've probably said it was the best. I predicted months ago people would start turning on COD4 because it was getting too popular, just like they turned on Halo. Looks like it's started already."

Your post is two or three posts under mine. I like the way you tried to pass it off as your own observation though. Very good.

I agree I've noticed the same thing, now everyones like Oh RSV2 its going to kick Call of Duty 4's A**lmblomas

The only reason I bought Halo 3 was cause I like online FPS games since back in the Quake 1 days (CTF, TF) and Counter Strike days..

I realized the online community would be huge in Halo 3 so I went out and got it mainly for that reason.

Halo carried me until COD4 came out and I have to say that I enjoy COD4's gameplay much more. Mostly because of the realism involved. Not that Halo 3 isn't fun because its a sci-fi type cause I like those genres as well.

Both games have their advantages.. COD4 you can customize your weapons vs Halo 3 you can customize your armor.
Challenges, levels, prestige all add incentive to keep playing and the saving of game videos, levels and rank system make halo 3 just as good..

If only thw two could be combined!

COD4 rocks and so does Halo3. The only thing I don't like about COD4 is the people on-line that do nothing blindly toss grenades everywhere.

On a smiler note, I never really like R6V it was too realistic and by that I mean getting killed by one shot all the time.

I don't "bash" either games, I just really, really despise the fanboys in both of them. More notably the CoD4 fanboys.

hmm... i see what your saying but i think that halo and cod will be my top played games on 360 for a while. (not counting gta4)

the only difference between halo 3 and COD4 is the name.darksusperia

Welcome to Popular Games 101. If a game becomes popular it will be bashed. It doesn't matter how good or even bad it is (primarily good) it will be bashed. When Halo 2 came out everyone was saying it was either good or a Halo 1.5, yet now that Halo 3 is out they are saying Halo 1 and 2 (or just 1) were amazing and that Halo 3 is really a Halo 2.3 or 2.5.

Honestly? People are now saying Halo 2 wasn't bad because it isn't the big thing it is now Halo 3? Halo has always gotten so much more crap than any game (except for the Hour of Victory titles and crap like that) because they are popular. I know people that had never played the game and bashed it.

Once a game becomes popular (which CoD4 is more than CoD1.... more systems...) it gets a lot of crap thrown its way.
