Hey all

Is it worth getting the variety map pack? The new maps look fun but are they played much? When playing WaW in the pregame lobby just about every second map selected was one I didn't have, so I knew that If I bought any of the map packs that I'd at least get to play them with some regularity. On COD4 on the other hand, in about 60 hours of play time there's never been one of the variety map packs selected; is there some explanation for this or do they simply not get played much?

On a smaller note, my xbox has occasionally started whirring a little more than usual, especially when I put Halo3 in... and all the lights go bright yellow, is this something anyone knows that I should be worried about?

Thanks !

In COD4, the map pack maps don't come up unless everyone in the lobby has them. They're more agressive about getting you to buy them in WaW, so they do come up even if you don't have them. Most people have the variety map pack, it's worth the money.

Yeah, Broadcast is probably my 2nd or 3rd favourite map in COD4, well worth the purchase. Chinatown is also awesome. I think Creek comes with it too, unfortunately thats my most hated map in COD4:P but if you're a sniper i guess you would like it.

I would say if you really need to get more out of CoD 4 then yes. Broadcast and Chinatown are really good maps.
