COD5 - who should create it and should it be WWI or Modern / Future?

What do you guys think about some random company taking the COD franchise?

I personally don't like it, but I want to know what you guys are thinking.

Who do you think should be creating COD5 (and possibly other COD titles), and what time era should they be?

Fair enough, but does that mean that COD: WaW will be good or bad because it's being done by Treyarch?

(I just breifly looked at some of Treyarch games, they've done okay but I didn't see any real smashing hits in the world of FPS.)

yep same, an who voted for WW1? that'll have even worse wepons than COD2 + 3 - futuristic is the step-up in gaming!

I agree. I'll give them a fair chance on W@W . That trailer looked surpisingly good imo

I know a lot of people didn't care much for COD 3. I personally didn't think it was as bad as everyone made it out to be. But they've come a long way since then and I know it was just a trailer, but the game is looking good. Let's wait until we get our hands on it before making any quick judgements.msjr78

I thought COD 3 was decent - I finished the single player campaign in no time at all, but spent many hours with the multi player mode. Right up until COD4 hit - now it's the same thing, single player is done, & I'll play the multi player for hours at a time.

COD W@W trailer looks good, and an article I read here on GS makes it sound like it's going to be great. Not thrilled about the WWII setting again, but sound like Treyarch is doing this one the right way - I actually can't wait for it to come out !!!

Treyarch and WWll because CoD 3 was alot of fun. I hated how Infinity Ward took away vehicles and Splitscreen multiplayer over Xbox Live. If CoD 3 had the engine that CoD 4 has it would have been so much better. Now that CoD 5 is getting that engine, I know it will be great. CoD 4 is a good game and all but it just sucks that me and my brother have to watch each other play over xbox live and take turns. So im glad Treyarch is getting to do World at War!

I'm playing COD 3 through again, and I still am having trouble seeing what people hate so much about this game. COD 4 made the "COD 3 is too short" argument seem silly. The long load scenes are somewhat annoying, but the game itself plays as good as any other COD title. The graphics are excellent. The audio is good. What did people hate so much?

That being said, I'm really looking forward to COD WaW for many reasons.

do you think people change overnight? some people are just not that great at making games... a lot of people couldn't care less how good the game is either. they just want that paycheck. that being said, this game looks like it could have some potential. maybe treyarch has gotten their crap together. i guess only time can tell now.

CoD 3 was awesome, and i think that the new CoD will be better.

Actually they said the GRAW series is over (thank god)

hopefully they go back to regualr ghost reacon with GR3

Please no aim feature like graw and cod4 back to the 3rd person days of gr2 (hopefully they bring back some old maps too)
