i bought the replacement plan at compusa last year. Now they wont honor it, saying microsoft covers the defect and not the plan. they said the plan covers normal wear and tear. to me thats wear and tear correct? these dumb numbnuts did'nt even check the system and assumed it was the red rings anyway. i told them it just freezes. COMPUsa is a rip off !!!! dont shop there. i made a scene, i knocked things off the shelves, i threw a fit like a baby cause i want my damn xbox. i was eventually thrown out of the store because i was recording themon video asking to define wear and tear, this guy had a dumb look on his face. so now i told them i will take legal action for fraud. Seems like compusa does not want to take a hit. But they sure do say anything to sell you them plans. They still sell the plan for the xbox 360. those mofos im angry lol... ok what you guys think i should do?

Call them every day and ask for the manager to fix your Xbox. Tell them that it is not the red ring. I bet eventually one of the managers will listen.

Oh man I would be angry too- Talk about ripping people off.

i spoke with the gm. THE GENERAL damn manager, can you believe this guy emailed me saying no he cant replace it because ms covers it. I told him, they extended the warranty for the red rings. Thats all. So i told him i was going back to the store. I go and the assistant manager comes out saying the gm said no. I was cursing at them, i lost it i was throwing things on the floor and just went nuts. I tried another store and same thing. compusa is a rip off and it's no wonder they are going bankrupt. They did'nt even check to see what was wrong. 60 dollars for this plan. Robbery!

Thus, it broke under normal wear and tear. So either replace it or I call corporate. ;)

Why do they keep sending you to Microsoft? Did the plan not take effect yet? I know on some extended warranties stores sell they don't take effect until AFTER the Manufacturer Warranty is over.

Please verify the info then post the results. I work at Best Buy and I know that this is not how we do business. If a customer comes in with a problem, we solve it.

Well, why wont you send it back to MS? If you really want it fixed, then that is what you will have to do.

That sucks man...if you've already thrown a tantrum, you should keep it up and keep bugging them. For a $60 replacement, they better give you a new one!

well i want it replaced, because they give you a brand new one. I dont want to wait and get some refurbished thing. I bought the plan on june of 06 and its a 2 year plan, so its still good. i guess now that the 3 year extension happened they wont take it. I know best buy would do it no problem. I got this xbox from my sugar momma, so i had no choice but to get it in crapusa. I am going over the gm's head and speak to the district manager, then off to corporate. I told the gm he will hear from my fake lawyers. Time to make a fake email of dan shwartz lawyer at large lol

If they aren't going to honor their replacement plan then you should ask for your 60 bucks back because that's pretty stupid.

yes they said i have to call a number to get my money back. i told them to give it to me on the spot. Let me tell you i lost it in the store. i punched the glass door, not good. my fist hurts now. I am from brooklyn ny, so i have a bad temper lol. I was about to hit the guy on the knee cap with a crowbar. i was so mad. outside they have a big board with the circular on it, it took that and flinged it onto 5th avenue traffic lol. took my shirt off and told security to bring it lol. i think i need anger management. funny thing is i was recording it, bad thing is i didnt know how to use the camera so i got deleted

because from what I think its not about it being fixed, its about fighting for wasting 60$ on this crap compusa warranty.

Try to get your money back for the replacement cost and send your 360 into Microsoft for help.

well i asked for the coffin from ms. so as i wait i will keep trying to get it replaced. its a war. point here is they robbing people with no intentions on giving you the replacement. compusa has closed many many stores down cause of inflated prices and because of bad service. i swear i will burn down the store or i will follow the gm home and then take pictures of his family and email him the pics tell him what a nice family he has, now how about a replacement.i won't actually do that but it was a thought.

lol hey xbox is like cooked crack. right now im in a corner shaking, rocking back and forth. i need my cooked crack, i mean xbox. after having my sugar momma spend 400 on this **** you damn right i will cause a fuss. Yes i know, i didnt buy it. but she did, i dont have another sugar momma to buy me another one. I was thiking of calling the news to investigate. might still do that. lol

I would keep going up the ladder. Screw the General Manager. Go to his Manager and His Manager. Make sure you have everything in writing. Keep emails, etc.... And make sure you have proof of your purchase of the system and the extended warranty.
