The textures on that game are the worst I have ever seen on ANY game... Plus the gameplay was so boring you just keeping pressing Y or X over and over and over again. Agree, disagree?
I am a Conana fan and was gonna run out and buy it. Thankfully I played the demo first was not impressed at all. Looked and played like a ps2 or xbox game.
Yeah, the graphics aren't great, but if you look into the combat system it can be really fun, and gameplay is what matters to me. And like any action game, the more you get used to the game, the more precise you can be with your attacks, I don't button mash at all with it. I play the demo alot, and I'm still finding new moves, plus there arealot of moves that are still locked.And even if you don't like it,atleast developers are starting to put some action games on the market for 360 instead of another shooter. And its super violent. The graphics are really the only thing to complain about
sounds like they rushed it... plus it's Nihlisitc, not eaxctly a top tier developer. I'm still going to give the demo a try since I'm a Conan fan, but I'm not expecting too much.

The MMO is a diffrent game and looks to be the next great MMO IMO. It is gonna have mature content and the graphics look amazing...think its called Age of Conan. It is coming to the 360 and PC. Will be out on 08 Hope it delivers...
i thought it was pretty good. i just don't like the fixed camera.
the animations are really cool. the gameplay itself is an average fighting platformer. It was what World's End should have been. I think it will get a 7.5
Conan is good...real good....Something different from shooting and shooting and shooting...Shooting can get quite boring. How about some hackNslash for something different.

Yeah, I wasn't impressed, but I didn't think it was THAT bad, but yeah hopefully the other conan game is better.
The other thing that I didn't like, is that the bodies dissapeared. It can't be so graphically intense that they had to dissapear, because it wasn't at all...
Conan actually reminded of me of God of War, but it reminds me of it too much, since alot of the combat feels as they ripped it out of God of War, and put it in excecution in the conan world, but I hope this would be the closest thing to God of War in High definition. I might give it a rent. By the way, I love God of war, but I hope, this isn't just a rip off in the full game.

Seriously don't waste your time bothering with it, it's ridiculously bad imo. Like I said in another thread, it's a poor mans God of War.
Graphics are decent in cutscenes, but garbage else in-game. Gameplay pretty much consists of you pressing two different buttons and thats it, the combos don't venture to far our of a couple different attacks. Movement is just stiff also. The only thing the game has which is decent at best is the gore factor, which isn't all that either simply because you can only do the basics i.e - cut head off, cut arms off....what you'd expect really...
I thought it was pretty awesome in fact I thought it was better than GoW and Kratos none stop emo fits.
Also to anyone who says Conan is a chessy version of GoW go drink some bleach,Conan lore was floating around way before Sony got the idea for GoW.

The veins on conans body, the blood, the waterfall, the nice flow of the camera across the terrain. Obviously you know nothing about video games.

I must be the only one in the universe that doesnt think the graphics on the game are bad. The gameplay is pretty lame and the camera is too far away to feel any of the action. but i think the games actual graphical quality is pretty rad. I thought the cut scene was great and i thought conan looked cool...his head was a little oversized...(But hay...i like invaider zim...all of their heads are big). Oh and does anyone think the chick looks like the wife from 300? anyone?!
Before you guys comment on a game..Why not read the gamespot article with the devs...One of the devs said they loved god of war so much...They wanted to do a god of war clone for conan...The only thing ive agreed with the posts on here is the camera angle...This day an age every camera in a game should rotate 360...Its not hard to impliment..

Ok, since you obviously know lots, give me some examples of final games where the graphics were obviously visibly superior to that of the demo.
I bought it a couple weeks ago. I'd agree it's not the best in the graphics department, but it's not that much of a slouch either. And as others have said, it's a decent hack n slash in the vein of God of War. And if you're gonna make a hack n slash game and rip another off, it might as well be GoW.
In anycase, Conans fine. At least worth a rental though I have no regrets about purchasing it.
I liked the demo well enough. I'll probably buy the game if it's reviewed well. The graphics in the demo didn't throw me off - I don't expect a finished product in a demo. The characters move fluidly and the voice acting was well done. The backgrounds are also nicely done. My biggest problem was the level of difficulty. Fighting the fodder enemies was cake, but once I hit the three guys with two-handed swords, it was impossible to get farther (for me at least). I'm cautiously optimistic about this one... here'shoping Conan turns out to be a game that will tide us all over till Devil May Cry.
the textures are the worst you've ever seen? you must have been a gamer for about a year or two then. i liked the demo, it's good fun hacking guys to bits - it took a couple of play throughs to get the most out of the combat system.
yeah I agree it reminds me a little like God of War but that is why i might get it. I just wish it wasn't so clunky at times. But i don't think the graphics are all that bad. I actually like a different change of pace from shooter to shooter. More games like this need to come out so that the market will range a bit. I need some gore fest slashing but if they could fix that clunkyness that would help me make a definite decision.

Totally agree....it's like a super cheesey version of God of War. I thought the demo was somewhat fun despite the graphics. I applaud the developer for doing a good old fashioned button mashing action game. The 360 needs more games in this genre. I'm starving for a good action game that gets away from FPS. I'm really excited about Devil May Cry 4. Capcom will do it right. Assassin's Creed looks very promising too. I don't think it's going to be a button masher, but at least it offers a new gaming style. These FPS's are great....developers just need to mix in something else.
