concerning xbox live online status

about 2 months ago i went into my personal settings on xbl and changed it so i appeared to be offline. i guess i forgot about it for a little while and then a few weeks ago one of my friends on cod4 for says that he never knows if im online until i message him. so i went back into the settings to check if it was still set that way and it says that it is set to show the i am in fact online but to my friends it still appears as though im not.

i tried looking around other places on the dashboard to see if there was any other way to screw around with it and i couldnt find it anywhere else

i play games fine it just doesnt say im online to anyone which can get annoying...

has anyone else ever had this happend to them? and what did u do to fix it?

does anyone have any idea? thanks alot in advance

Sorry dude or dudette you don't go into console settings you go onto your account and go into privacy settings from there

PS. Don't sign out of your account when your appearing offline because i think it saves your settings .
