On call of duty 4 or WoW i get connection interrupted multiple times a game and sometimes booted to the lobby. I dont get kicked all the way off live, but playing is not fun when i get so many lags. I have had live for a year and never had this problem, and i know it is not my router, and my isp says it is not there fault, so how do i fix this?

Ignore the moron ^ what has changed recently? Can you think of anything in your house? Another PC joined network? Someone messed with router settings? Whens the last time you upgraded the firmware? How old is router? WHAT ISP DO YOU HAVE?

Try changing the channel that your router sends the signals with.

Go to www.portfoward.com and find your router, and forward ports 3724 TCP/UDP for world of warcraft, and ports 88/3074 TCP/UDP for xbox 360. The router guide will show exactly how to do it on portforward.com. If that doesn't work, your router might just be going in the pooper and it might be time to replace it. My old router would do this and no problems once I got one that wasn't 5+ years old.

Also, this weekend, cod waw is been ****** up. The servers have been crashing constantly with crazy errors like 'internal server failure' so maybe wait for a few days and see if it still persists.

Well if your bypassing the router its either your ISP or 360 its that simple. BTW ISP's never admit its they're fault, I'm assuming you have DSL because its cheaper? Sometimes you get what you pay for , do you have any online games for your PC or a another console? Does trouble happen with those? That will tell you whether it's the 360 or your ISP.

I have two consoles and they both are screwing me over. I dont know what to do if it is my isp though cause they just point the finger at xbl to keep from doing work. Is there any chance that this problem is cause of the christmas surge, like last year

Try one of the connection tests on the internet. Just type in google connection speed test and find out what your download and upload speeds are at the moment. The reason i say to check this is because your ISP may have lowered your bandiwith for monitoring etc.

Hmmm.... That speed is not very good.... but it should still be ok? try disabaling your firewall and try.

the deal is it used to work great with this router and that speed, so i dont see what the problem could be cause i have talked to my isp for about an hour and he cant figure out what the problem is
