Considering purchasing a Xbox 360

I might purchase an xbox 360 within a few months. So a few things I would like to know is it backwards compatable with xbox 1 game? What are the games to get? Which version of the Xbox 360 should get? 20gb basic or 120gb Elite?

I am sure I will get blasted for this but Oblivion for instence was better on PS3....but Shooters are better on Xbox...just in my opinion...there has been alot of Critics say this
