so I'm playing Lost Planet, and the controller keeps disconnecting. Is it just the batteries? I figurethats it since I haven't changed them in the couple weeks I've had the 360 but just wanted to be sure.

Depends on how long you are playing. Usually I play a couple hours a night and my rechargeable battery pack last awhile till I have to switch it out. You can usually tell when the battery is getting low, a light starts to circle around the on/off button on the controller.

yeah I was thinking about it, especially since I also have the Wii. But I keep hearing some people say those are fine and some people say they suck, as in they never hold a charge. I'd hate to buy them and have em not work.

I don't have a 360 battery rechargable pack but I always keep spare rechargable batteries for my controller. So basically after every night I finish playing I remove the current ones for recharging and add the new ones vice versa.

I use Rechargables, they may not keep a grand charge, but they last me a few days, then I swap out them, pull over a new ones. Recharge the old ones, and always be on stock.

For the price you pay to get the play & charge kit, you get a recharger and 10 rechargeable batteries that's 2700mah (which will last a looooong time).

Well some times my wireless head set will lose communication for a few seconds as the sound goes through my tv but It finds it and works fine. Maybe the controller connection is doing the same.

I use normal recharge batts. I used a MS Batt pack and it lasted 2 day tops. WIth normal batts, I get a good 2 weeks out of the things before they have to be charged up again. That being said, I did have a 360 which would kick out controllers often, but It had a defect in the wireless and I took it back. Your problem is more than likely needing new batts.

I've had the same problem as the poster above.

For the past week, whenever I play my 360 and pull the right trigger, the controller disconnects itself. It is incredibly annoying, especially in fps. I switched batteries yesterday and that has made no difference to the frequency of disconnections. Anyone have any ideas as too how to remedy this. I would be very grateful :D

Go out and get the Play & Charge kit. It's only like $15 and totally worth it.

Ok guys listen I HAD A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH GEARS OF WAR 2 SO I SPENT spent some time researching on all of us Xbox360 users problems and i have a major break through for most of you including me the problem is ONLY TINY BIT LOOSE BATTERIE PACK + IN GAME VIBRATION MOSTLY SHOOTER GAMES, GUNS FIRING the vibration makes your batteries come loose for a second and cuts the power from your controller to see if this is your problem start up a game then access the games options menu from there select Xbox360 controller options then turn the vibration off resume he game as normal if it no longer cuts out PROBLEM SOLVED any other problems you have leave me a message an ill try and help you with them.
