So I'm playing through this game. I'm around level 25-30 right now and I'm at the planet where you find the final team mate in Artemis Tau. I'm curious how much more of the game I have left to play through.

On top of that, is the game worth a second play through? If you get to respec your character when you start over at the same level that would be awesome because I'd like to try out a different set up other than straight combat but I don't want to have to start a brand new character to do that per se.

Finally, Mako ships are for suckers. I hate that thing and anything to do with it. I'm hoping they fix those sections or remove them in ME2.

How much game play that is left really depends on how many of the planets that drive the main story that you have visited. Assuming that artimus Tau is the last story planet for you, then once you go to the planet called Virmire then I estimate about 10 hours or less of game play remains.

Artemis Tau is the second one. I've done Feros because that one sounded cooler. I'll still have to go to Noveria (?) after this one.

after you do the first three, i think there are two maybe, atleast one, main planet left to do.... which launches you into the finale... actually, im thinking two. as for replay, yes, ive done it and plan to do a few more this summer before the game is released sometime next year

So even knowing the whole story and how it plays out, the game is still worth replaying? I might redo it to try out some different builds but I have a lot of other games to play so no more than one more playthrough for me for now

Total game time without doing sidequests should run you between 20-22 hours. If you throw in all sidequests plus DLC you could run up to 35 or so hours. I've replayed the game 5 times so far, but never yet with the same character twice, so I'm not sure if you respec your character on a reload, but I don't believe so.

The one out right now is Bring Down the Sky. It is a mix between a side quest and a main quest. I enjoyed it as it expands on the story as far as alien races goes, and you are also rewarded a pretty good item after the mission is completed.

What is the deal with the DLC?CNUrGames

It's a 2 hour sidestory that introduces a new race otherwise not seen in ME1. It's interesting, and well done, but ultimately more of the same. You're love of the DLC will be directly proportional to your love for ME.

I'd say it's worth it, but then I love ME.

Love might be much but I definitely like ME a good bit. How much does the DLC run?

Seeming ME is open world in many cases I'm not sure how much you have left to play. This last playthrough I got all the team members really quick and then did LOTs of side quests. Now I'm back to the storyline. Really though, after you get off the citadel, you have the three standard missions, 2 more planets and the finale. And the key to the mako rover is learning that the controls change based on where you are aiming, not where the front of the rover is pointed. So, if you gun is out over the right side (to the right 90 degrees) and you move the analog left, you will actually drive forward in reference to where the nose of the vehicle is pointed. I find it super annoying to this day. Up should always be forward, left and right turn. and let the other analog turn the gun. at least it should be in my mind. I still haven't replayed a character. I just start over again... I also haven't done the DLC yet either seeming I just got it via the platinum edition of the game. I hear it is short though... but I guess I'll find out soon enough.

My biggest issue with the Mako rover is when there is something on the top of a mountain and I can't get to it

The Mako was a pain for certain. I think the DLC is 1200 points, but I bought it forever ago when it first came out, so I could be wrong.

Either A) you're the slowest gamer on the face of the planet or B) you're playing a different Mass Effect than me, my friends, and virtually everyone else. My first playthrough, in which i did ONLY the main missions, took exactly 10 hours and 47 minutes to complete. That is significantly shorter than your proposed "20-22 hours" which is so far fetched that it's not even funny. One of the main complaints by reviewers was the fact that the main campaign was extremely meager, clocking in at under 12 hours. On to the second statement you make, "if you throw in all sidequests plus DLC you could run up to 35 or so hours." Um...my friend and I both have played through a second time, and we've both done virtually every single side mission, including the DLC, and my run time currently is at 25 hours and 21 minutes and im on the grand finale, so your 35 hours is still drastically off. The DLC will last you 3 hours at most, and isn't even all that great, but then again for 400 points, you can't complain too much.

I am on Virmire right now and planning to do a new game plus, trying to get my character to level 60 for the achievement. This time however I'm gonna go evil instead of good. :D

Well congratulations godly gamer of speed. Never-the-less, I assure you, my run times are just as valid as yours. Speed gaming doesn't make your time anymore correct than thorough exploration of everything makes mine.

I remember in Mass Effect's first E3 demo a few years back, they showed Shepherd affecting conversations by interrupting the NPC. They could take it has hostile for example and your relationship with them would be affected. And I was very disappointed that it was removed from the final build of the game. But it looks like it is making a comeback for ME2.

this game really makes me want to throw something out a window. i've only played through the beginning, the citadel part, and then flew to noveria and walked around doing nothing and having tedious conversations about nothing with everyone. i'm assuming that it gets a lot more fun, but then it might be that this game is just not for me, because if it takes this long to get into it i can't see how it became popular unless i'm just approaching it in completely the wrong way. i just.. i just don't find it fun.

I've actually found that the side missions are where most of my combat has taken place. In the main story there are fights with the Geth so far but nothing really outstanding. I've had some of my most challeging and most rewarding battles in side missions. Aside from that the story is enough to keep me engaged
