ok wats up with all this hat eon the core. I understand it lacks the harddrive and the hdmi but really. in 2-3 months the core will be the arcade and will come iwth a 512mb card with 5 free games, a wireless controller, and a mic I think. THen you would be about the save all your games. I had the ocre and bough the hdd later and I loved it. Core is the sexy best because it looks better than the premium because of the completly white front
the core was just a rip off to begin with. If you wanted to eventually upgrade it and buy the components to make it like the premium you would of spent $490 instead of $400
Flawless is right! If you bought core and upgraded you spent more than if you bought a premium sorry but it's true. If you just wanted a core and not be able to play xbox live just play games offline and not be able to download anything then the core is perfect for you lol.

I bought it because I was in december of the launch so it was that or no 360 and I Just bought a hardrive and aextra controller(needed one for ecompany) plus the mics are free with pre-paid sub scription cards so I got all of that for the same price as any other user excpet my controller is wired
@OP: I don't think any of us hate the Core 360. It's just that the package is a little lacking and when you get around to buying some of the accessories that most agree are useful to essentially make it similar to a Premium version, you'll find that you've spent more money. So I think more than hating, we think it's a wiser move to buy the Premium and get most of those acccessories from the beginning..
Core is going to be replaced by a new 360 console. Yep it's true, just wait for it. That's all I can say. But core is fine for playing games, it's just as good as the pro and elite - It's just missing the hdd.

the fact that you eventually bought a hard drive proves everyones complaints about the core.... you got ripped off... you shoulda just waited and got the premium... you woulda had a wireless controller hd cables and more ...

As I said it was december of 2005, I would have bought a dextra controllwer any, mics are free, and didnt have ahd tv at the time same price but I lost the cables

And I'm not joking :) your right it was on kotaku it's going to be called the 360 arcade it will come with 5 free arcade games a wireless controller, and a 256mb memory card,and still no harddrive, no headset,no 30day live trial
