Core System ?

I'm thinking about buying a 360 but I can only afford the core system and I was wondering does it still play games like normal and are you able to save while playing the game ?

if you buy the core you have to pick a memory card or harddrive aswell in order to being able to save your progress, I say save your money and go for the premium
