My xbox is out of warranty and my disc drive wont open. How much would it cost if I sent it in to Microsoft to repair?

i make it easy for you option 1= find a broken xbox off ebay/craglist for 20ish bucks. take that one out and swap it option 2= call microsoft have them send you box or even a advanced replacement for like $108ish bucks(the 8 is tax) option 3= sell that one broken for 20ish then buy a slim...

My disc drive used to have trouble opening too! We used to just leave a disc in the tray as it would open fine like that for some reason. Then we realised turning the Xbox on it's side also helped. Tried either of those?:)

I got mad at it and did all kinds of stuff. Now it ejects good if I have a disc in and I ca have my console vertically.. I'd say thats an improvement.

thats a very good question. Why would you do that? because i didn't say that. I gave 3 real choices he can choose to do. 1 Buy other broken xbox and that that disc drive out. 2 send it to microsoft for 108 bucks 3 sell it broken so other person can do option 1 for their self and get a slim
