Could Conan be the 360s answer to God of War?

At first i didn't pay much attention to it, and thought the graphics looked pretty bad, but after seeing this trailer things looked better and better, though it really does rip off of GOW in various aspects. Just have to wait and see, I guess.

But I do love the game from the little I played in the demo. The combat is brutal and you start to realize it really isn't a button masher after a few playthroughs of it. Cutting 4 guys in half with one swing of a giant two handed never really gets old to me... :twisted:

I'm a huge God of War fan. So I had high hopes for this game. But after playing the demo I felt it falls way short. I'm probably just biased because of my God of War fandom. But it the graphics seem kind of lame for next gen, and conan is huge. like way bigger than he should be. to me, that detracts from the overall game.

I'm a sucker for this kind of game. I mean dang, I even enjoyed 99 nights. Give me a guy with a sword and a lot of button combos. Give me stuff to unlock (a.k.a more combos!) and some leveling progression and i am happy.

Still i wouldn't expect this to be a God of War killer. God of War enjoys the same thing that games like Halo enjoy. Huge enormous budgets, with long development times, and talanted developers. GoW is an established AAA franchise and won't likely be bested by a new IP.

That doesn't mean that we can't enjoy every once of conan's GoW "inspired" gameplay. Bring it on!
