I am not saying USB now I am saying it has a end like the 360 headset does. And by the way I am not buying another one of Microsoft's pieces of crap. I broke 3 of those in 6 months and I treat all of my gaming stuff like gold.
Just get the microsoft one, AND if you get it this week you can get it for FREE when you buy another xbox live accessory such as points or even ANOTHER HEADSET for your other controller :D (you get it free from a $20 saving when you buy two accessories; from circuitcity of course). And you must not have treated your headset like gold because it broke. ;)

make sure you have it plugged in, that usually helps. I have stepped on mine a couple of times and mine still works and nothing broke, and i'm pretty large so....
I have never stepped on my Microsoft one's but they still break buy themselves. I have stepped on my Plantronics one like 3 months ago and while I was talking to a friend tonight and it just cut out. I unplugged and plugged it back in and from what I heard from the earphone it had a short. So for the rest of the night I have had to hold the wire to hear, which is why I am looking for a new mic.
