Would it be possible/smart for MS to creat its own disk format(kind of like gamecube disk) for games. Not using dvd,hd dvd, or blu-ray formant but have a add-on for those movies?

Yes they could create one but it wouldn't work with 360 because the drives they installed aren't compatible so it would be useless to make one unless it was for the next xbox.

of course they could, althout creating a whole new type of media for a video game hasnt worked out so well so far (gamecube and psp are clear examples)

in any case the current xbox360 would not be able to read a new type of disk; we would have to wait for the next xbox

It would be VERY interesting however, if ms decides to make some games hd-dvd, so you would need the hd-dvd player to play them (blue dragon for example, 1 hd-dvd or several dvds: being able to chose would be nice). Im not even sure if thats possible with the current hd-dvd player, but it certainly would be nice

they did...it's called HD-DVD...but they're not supporting it's software-storage abilities at the moment.
