I hope so because some future games might need more space unless they double disc them.

I don't think so, I mean... they could but not much larger.. thats why I think that Blu Ray and HD DVDs actually is the future of disks...they can support so much more, when game developers get to the point where they need a large amount of space, they just change over formats.

I don't think so no, if they did find a way there would probably be compatibility issues with the current DVD drive in the 360. Changing disc isn't that strenuous, I'd rather have to change disc once in a while rather than pay an extra £200 not to.

they can't make larger dvd's with out them being dual-layer. HD and Blu Ray is what is going to fix the storage issue.

Short answer: The technology for DVD is maxed out. You cannot fit more infomation on a single DVD

Long, geeky answer: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/hd-dvd1.htm

Well so then is Blu-ray really beating HD-DVD, or does HD-DVD stillhave a chance, even though it wouldnt matter for games?

There's already a mult-disc game for the 360. Blue Dragon uses 3 DVDs, of course the game is created by the creator of the Final Fantasy series.

How the hell does Blue Dragon take 3 DVDs? What the heck does it have in it that games like Oblivion dont? I hope it is just a lot of bonus features and stuff, or mabye it is a really long game, but ur probably right about the Final Fantasy creators, I guess they like to make multiple discs because it makes the game look long and epic lol.

Apparently, it's the use of FMV's that takes up so much space.

Lots of voice-acting, alot of FMVs, and uncompressed data. The developers of Blue Dragon chose to use uncompressed data to make loading faster.
