I don't think so, I mean... they could but not much larger.. thats why I think that Blu Ray and HD DVDs actually is the future of disks...they can support so much more, when game developers get to the point where they need a large amount of space, they just change over formats.
Short answer: The technology for DVD is maxed out. You cannot fit more infomation on a single DVD
Long, geeky answer: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/hd-dvd1.htm
There's already a mult-disc game for the 360. Blue Dragon uses 3 DVDs, of course the game is created by the creator of the Final Fantasy series.LoserMikeHow the hell does Blue Dragon take 3 DVDs? What the heck does it have in it that games like Oblivion dont? I hope it is just a lot of bonus features and stuff, or mabye it is a really long game, but ur probably right about the Final Fantasy creators, I guess they like to make multiple discs because it makes the game look long and epic lol.

Lots of voice-acting, alot of FMVs, and uncompressed data. The developers of Blue Dragon chose to use uncompressed data to make loading faster.
