this is clearly stated on the previews on the game, why do you people come here and ask questions that are easily researched on your own?mfp16I second that. Wikipedia, Google, Amazon... there are many places where information can be found much faster than making a thread.
Meh, I'm not too sad, I just bought CS: Source for PC a couple weeks ago and it's ok, but it definitley wasn't worth the 20 bucks.ceeplusplus
what are you talking about, CS:S is great, and it's definitely worth the 20bucks, the graphic, gameplay, everything of that game is awesome, consider it's two years old

It's probably just one of those games not for me, however it can be fun at times, maybe it's just because I'm new to it. So fast paced, im used to kinda strategic playinlol, all the people who are saying CSS isn't good are the people who suck at it. They are just used to Halo with perfect accuracy and weapons that win the game for you. CSS is an amazing game after you get good at it, anyone who says different just hasn't given it enough time.Inverni
Actually I played it waay back in like middle school (which btw was like 7 years ago) and never liked it since then.
How about you just play a real FPS online? Cod4? Halo?limpbizkit818:| CS is usually considered to be one of the best multiplayer games EVER.You know that, right?

CS is an outdated mod, and the only reason it has such a large user base is because
1. - It's cheap
2. - Extremely low system requirements
Those who do not have a PC rig that can run BioShock, Cod, UT and so on, still play CS and clam "zomg this is so great yea!" Same thing with Tribes. Lets go guys, move on.
Halo and COD4 multiplayer are both pitiful compared to CounterStrike. The thing is, CS is very hard and can be frusterating for people who are used to easy, slow-paced games. There are no recharging shields, there are no uber-powerful explosive weapons like rocket launchers, and there is no auto-aim to help you out like there is on console games. When you get shot, there's a good chance you're going to die.
It can be hard for people who are used to being able to take 50-hits from an assault rifle, then cower behind a rock and let your shields recharge. Not to mention, the game has been around so long that there are some really, really, really good players out there who can take you out with a single shot to the head. It's definitely not a game for the casual player like Halo is.

Why is everyone so quick to jump down another's throat on these forums? I'll admit, okay, I could've looked a little harder for a firm confirmation on whether or not it was included, but couldn't find anything here or on Amazon for that matter. Suppose I'll look harder next time. Thanks anyway.

Orange Box on Amazon. How exactly did you *not* find this?Halo and COD4 multiplayer are both pitiful compared to CounterStrike. Ok so what aboutGhost Recon for the 360?I guess it isn'ta hard game because it is on a console....... The fact that you go down almost faster than CS is too unrealistic...... Every person having auto-aim makes it even. IF every person didn't have auto-aim then it would also be even, but if each player has to put up with the same crap it doesn't make it easy or anything.
You've got to understand that Halo is in the future.... They have shields in the future...... What is unrealistic about it? Have you been to the future to know that what happens in Halo is unrealistic?
Oh and saying CS is a fact paced game and halo is slow is bull.... I played CS (back when it was good and not this Source crap) and honestly camping for 3 minutes is super fast let me tell you. The main reason it CAN be fast is because you get the idiots on your team who run into rooms blindly and start fire fights.
Now i used to play CS and i can tell you that besides no Auto-Aim and no shields it isn't that different. You add those two features to CS and you would find out that it is pretty similiar. Oh and the fact that everyone has Auto-Aim and shields means nothing because if they took those two things away everyone would be as even as they are now. If only half the people in the game had Auto-aim it would be a different story.
And to be honest the main reason i got away from CS was because of hackers... yea there are modders in Halo 2, but not near as many as in CS (now i do know cheating death and other stuff helped with a lot of that). Plus i was tired of watching my teamates sit in a corner and camp there the entire game. Atleast in Halo it is realistic to the fact that team work helps. Yea one guy can kill four people but that can happen, but you don't see it much because with 2 on 1s it is usually the 1 that dies unless he is good.

Woah! Guess I struck a soft-spot there. Sorry. Looking back I can see how my post may have come off as condescending towards console gamers. Let me explain.
Ghost Recon isa very tough game. You're right. And I wasn't trying to insinuate that all console games are inherantly easy. It just so happens that CounterStrike is probably one of the hardest games to get into for newbies in the history of games. I'm sorry if you disagree, but that's my own, very strong, personal opinion.
Granted, every person ina game having auto-aim makes it fair, but it also makes it easier for everyone to plant their crosshairs on a target. Games that don't have auto-aim rely a bit more on skill, and therefore, a newbie is going to have a much harder time then a seasoned veteran.
And I wasn't saying shields in Halo were unrealistic. But, the fact of the matter is, in Halo I can take a few hits from a shot gun, run away, and be back to full health in less then a minute. There's no shields or health kits in CS, so once you get shot, there's no going back to full health until next round.
Where I disagree with you is in the concept of speed. While I haven't played CounterStrike or Halo Multiplayer in over six months, I do know that CS is much faster, regardless of whether or not people are rushing the front-lines. Character movement is much faster, andgunfights are much more brutal, therefore faster in my opinion. However, since CounterStrike is round-based and Halo is typically just deathmatch, Halo could be seen as a "faster-paced" game, simply because you respawn many times during a ound.
Teamwork can be helpful in both games. It's all a matter of who's on your team. Both Halo and Counterstrike are awesome games. I just feel that a new player willhave an easier, less frusterating time getting into Halo.
Anyway, after inadvertantly hijacking this thread, CS does not come with the Orange Box. It should, because that would make it an even bigger value then it already it, but it unfortunately doesn't.And to all the people who were moaning and groaning about the OP not just looking up the information himself, I say stuff it. Searching for stuff on the internet is a mega-pain-in-the-A-hole. If you don't want to answer the guy's question, just don't post. It took you more time to complain about how he could have just looked up the information himself than it would have to simply say "no."
