I really think its awesome. Great first game from a new developer, can it be improved, yes, but its a nice start and the promise of downloadable content could really expand this game.. Check it out.
I didn't play the demo. I wasn't even interested in the game but my mate told me to buy it for Co-op. Played over 20 hours worth in 3 days, I can't sleep, I can't concentrate at work, I'm dreaming about green orbs. It's awesome

It frustrates me when people say "This game is too short". Oblivion is short too if you just follow the main quest. Try doing some other stuff. I've played 20 hours and I haven't killed all the bosses, or found all the orbs, or levelled up all my powers, or completed the car stunts, or the car races, or rooftop races. In fact I've had an awesome time slowly progressing through ALL of these things and there is still a lot for me to do.

lol I know what you mean there I hate it when people complain about a game being short, and they dont do nothing but the main quest.
bought it today. I played the game for about 6 hours total today. Couldnt put it down! Theres really no story to the game but kill gangs, but the gameplay and mechanics make the game addicting like crack. Cant play online though cause im in a college dorm and the internet is always slow
i love it particularly the explosions are just awesome when you get to level 4 and its fun to watch enemies especially in shai gen get tagged with the firefly and go sailing off buildings to there burning doom... but i did not think it was that short i still have lots of races to accomplish and a few orbs to find. And you just cant beat leveling up your agency semi truck and racing down the free way blowing up every car in your path...This is a great game with a lot of attention to detail IMO
I love this game... I didn't think too much of the demo, but I'm having fun messing around trying to level up my character.  It starts off then really picks up.   The best part of the game is leveling up your character and trying to climb and jump buildings.  There's nothing quite like it.   Probably the only thing it should have is a Campaign or Story mode with some cut scenes.  It depends if you like the sandbox games, then I would buy it.   It's probably not for everyone...
i agree with the person that said it eemed empty earlier. I mean the game is not hard to beat as far as the "plot" is concerned. Then after that and the streets are cleaned up then what else is there to do? It seems to me that the agent is out of a job.
All this talk of how great it is...yet everyone I actually trust to give verdicts on games say it's mediocre. BAH...It's this or some DS stuff. fore_runner
The game is a blast. I've been playing It for a couple of days now, and I have to say It's pretty damn addicting. I'm enjoying It more then I thought I would.I have to admit even though the game has certain elements of GTA, this game still feel's very unique.
Go get it mate, trust me the demo wasn't all, the game is simple, addictive and fun to play coop, love the level up you can notice the change, the vehicles, the big jumps, the action , shooting and melee never have been so well effectively concived since Halo 2 and the pistol of GoW.
the dlc is coming soon and that will add a lot of fun for sure, think deathmatch and 4 player coop : )
also the first shipment of this game includes "GLORY" the Halo 3 Beta key, even if you're not a Halo fan when 3 comes out you should give it a try, trust me.
i downloaded the demo and it didn't really interest me.... i just got bored with it. and the graphics are weird. its the effect they wanted but i didn't like it. i'm not goin to buy it.
It's a terrific title. REALLY shows what this genre of gaming can become in this generation. They could improve car handling, but there is little else to really fix. -=Mike
I was thinking of picking this up, but I cant stop playing Lost Planet multiplayer, then by the middle of March God of War 2 will be out, so I dont think I'll have time for this title.

After you've beaten all the gang leaders, you can go into the main menu & turn crime on. There you go, you'll never run out of thugs to kill.
I love it, and the only person who can say Crackdwon is good/bad is yourself, just try it and see what you think. But based on reviews, it has to be worth a try right?

Yeah, Crackdown's a good game. I wasn't that into the demo and I respect the fact that the game is short and a little shallow, but I'll be damned if I can stop playing it.
Fantastic game, i did finish the story mode in 2 days, but now i am trying the achievements (orb-tastic!). Trying to unlock all the achievements will take some time :)
It's addictive...but don't play it all the time as you WILL get sick of it. I don't know what I'm going to do when I'm fully levelled up...I can see the game going on the trash heap after that :)
the game is a blast, i hated GTA:VC and SA because they felt so rehashed and unoriginal. Crackdown is like a breath of fresh air. It's so much fun, it's not perfect, kinda short, but it's fun to goof around and raising your stats really motivates you to finish it off, i wish there was more of an incentive after you max out your stats to keep playing, but im sure they can improve on taht in the sequel
I honestly just bought the game for the Halo 3 Beta but I started playing it today and I love it. Very addictive and fun chasing for the green orbes. It reminds me a lot of Spiderman 2 because of the jumping across buildings and I love it. Glad I bought it!!!!!!!
