Both have their good points. FEAR is a fantastic FPS with a great story, amazing AI, and a decently long single player mode. Unfortunately the online isn't very popular. Crackdown is one of those "make your own fun" games. You'll either have a blast and keep coming back from time to time, or you will finish quickly and wonder why you didn't just rent it.

Most definitely F.E.A.R... While Crackdown is entertaining at first, it gets old very quickly.

I agree with Velric.  It all depends on your preferences.  F.E.A.R. has an excellent storyline with an added suspense and surprise factor.  Multiplayer is ok but it isn't Halo or Gears of War.  Crackdown is highly addictive and fun but it after a while jumping on buildings and lifting up dumpsters gets old.  Once it does start to get old though its great fun to get online and play co-op with someone else or just beat 'em up.  I like to describe Crackdown as an exaggerated version of GTA (except you are a cop).  Of course there are obvious differences such as F.E.A.R. is a first-person shooter and Crackdown is a run around and beat 'em up with a story line.  To buy i would pick Crackdown but both are great games on different scales.

Crackdown gets old fast --- Go with F.E.A.R.

I'll be picking up F.E.A.R. later this week :)
