I got two brothers, one of which wants Saint's Row and the other Crackdown. I don't know how good either game is since their reviews are pretty much around the 80 precentile. Which one do you think I should get?
mmm id say crackdown, the fun lasts alot longer, saints row has the fun but is very short. and once youve finished it, you really dont wanna play it anymore.
well, unless you're an idiot, Saint's Row. If you like repetitive games with no story (literally) then Crackdown. However, if you want a single player with plenty of variety in side missions and missions plus competetive multi then get saints row.

How could you say Saints Row is short? The story takes way longer to beat then Crackdown, and I wouldn't even call Crackdown's story a story. And to the poster, If your planing on playing for single player purposes, I say go with Saint Row all the way. If your plan on playing online, or through system link, go with Crackdown.
Oh yeah, I forgot........If you like blowing s*** up, scaling tall buildings, throwing cars 50 feet, and killing helpless innocents.......CRACKDOWN IS THE GAME TO GET!!!! But I still prefer Saints Row.8)
it doesnt matter what flag youre flying. You aint from the row, you dead pho sho. (actual line from the game). But seriously saints row is fun and should be able to hold you over for your sandbox fix until GTA 4.
Haven't played either, but based on reputation, I'd say Crackdown. I mean, you DID get a free copy of the game if you purchased the Halo 3 beta while back. :P
No but seriously, if you're going to get one of the two, get Crackdown. I played a demo, and it did seem kind of fun. Then again, Saints Row 2 is being developed, maybe get another game and wait for that.
i played crack down the other day first time for ages and forgot how much fun it is, saints row is cool as well but crack down once ya get over the trippy graphics is proper fast fun, ya either get down to killing hundreds of gang members or start jumping all over the buildings trying to collect the orbs, wicked crack, aint even played it co op yet might as well give it a bash
Saints Row is that stupid, stereotypical "gangsta" attitude whereas Crackdown is more super cop. I hate that fake gangsta stuff and no matter how good the game is I wouldn't be able to play it as a result. The super cop style of Crackdown is far more interesting a premise to me anyway. The whole jumping up the side of buildings, from rooftop to rooftop, etc is awesome. Download the Crackdown demo and play it. If you like the demo, I promise you will love the main game. Just keep in mind that the demo has rapidly accelerated your skill levelling.
