it depends. how much do you like exploring and random destruction? if you're looking for a story, go somewhere else. the gameplay rocks tho. have you dl'd the demo? if so, its basically that only more areas. i think its definitely worth it, but people seem to either love it or hate it.

i agree. i am one of the people who loved it. however if you can rent it thats what i would do. the game is really short and unless you are into acheivements there isn't much to do after you finishing killing the kingpins.
so to answer your question...yes if you like acheivements, had fun playing the demo, or have a friend to play co-op with. otherwise i would recommend renting it. either way you should play it because it is a really addictive game.
yeah I was wondering too....I went to k mart to buy it but they were sold out.so I bought ncaa march maddeness 07 for $40. oyah the also had 3 PS3 right there in the glass container...lol..thats just funny to me
I rented it and pretty much got everything I wanted out of it in about 4 days. I'd rent first and if you have not had enough, then I would buy. That way you have no regrets.
I first downloaded the Demo from XBL a little while back to see what all the hype is all about. Sad to say the demo was a waist of time and hard drive space. I'm not to the to judge a game right away so I gave it a second chance by renting it a my local video store. I have to say just like the demo I was rather dissapointed. I couldn't play for more than ten minutes at a time before getting totally bored with it and throwing in another game. I really can't quite put my finger on it as to why I didn't really like it so.
The gameplay is fun, but if all you like are FPS blastfests you'll find the game somewhat tedious. There are three levels of difficulty, so there's three reasons to play all of the missions through. And some of the achievements are challenging, like juggling a car in the air for seven seconds with explosives.
The downside is that with 21 bosses the main story just ends too soon.

I 100% agree with this guy. Unless you are a big Halo fan like myself and want a invite to the Halo 3 Beta...granted that you can manage to find a Beta copy.
nah, the controls and camera are awful, and the game is generally just repetitive destruction, which isn't even good destruction until you get your stats up
