I've been having some trouble with my live. My connection to CoD 4 has been either only 1 bar or 2, but then i checked my connection on my dashboard and it was almost perfect.

So i tried Halo 3 to see how that played out. And i do'nt remember what it it usually like but it seemed to only be a tad less than desirable. Nowhere near as much as CoD 4.

Any suggestions?(honestly i haven't tried just cleaning the disk yet. Thought of it in the middle of writing this. I'm gonna go try that now.)

Is your connection wired or wireless? I was having trouble with my wireless connection then I switched the channel on my router and I get lag free games.

Try shutting down all programs on your computer (or any computer that shares the router) that require the internet, p2p programs, IM programs, etc.

I've been getting a lot of lag lately too. I'll be playing in a full party and all my other friends are having the same problem. All you can do is back up and try to find a new room. But this is only what I'm experiencing...not saying this is your exact problem.

But this started late last night after an entire day of no problems whatsoever.

It's wireless. But i have no idea how to do that.

And i have 3 other computers in my house that get internet off of the same modem. I know one is right now downloading a big file off of limewire,(weeds season 1-3). But my brothers says that isn't the problem b/c his computer has a limited bandwith. And his DL stuff also hasn't been a problem before.

That's one of the reason's i useually check here first, but it seems like everyone else in the games i'm in has almost a full connection like i did until last night.

If you have a linksys router this is how you change the channel

1) type 192.168.1.1 and hit enter

2) enter the information (usually admin as username and whatever your password is)

3) click "wireless"\

4) go to wireless channel and select one

My default wireless channel was 6 and i put it on 1 and it sped up my download and upload rates by a lot

If it's only started within the last 24 hours, I'm going to just assume it's the sheer amount of Canadians on XBL at the moment, since it's Canada Day and everyone's off. Plenty of Canadian friends are online.

Wait 'til tomorrow and see if it continues...

PS: Happy Canada Day, eh.

That could make sense, the time it started acting up was around a high traffic time. We'll see what happens tommorow.
