CryEngine 2 In Action!

I just got done looking at the new (new to me) CryEngine 2 in action.

It is the most amazing in-game FPS Engine I have seen so far!

As far as I know Crysis is only coming on the PC, but I wonder when Console games will start using this.

I hope that they start implementing it for console use. I remember a while back when I was really interested in Crysis that they were hiring PS3 devs. Whats not to say they aren't working on a 360 version of the engine as well.EMERlCa6969

They are probably hiring ps3 devs because there might be future games using cryengine 2 that will be on ps3 and 360.  However I don't think crysis will ever be on 360 or ps3 but we might get some kind of spinoff of the crysis world much like what far cry instincts was to far cry for the pc.

The emgine what you see there does work on 360, that footage has nothing to do with Crysis, its just showing what CryEngine2 can do, you will see 360 games using this engine soon enough, but it wil likely not be running 360 Crysis, but likely a similar game.

It a game engine, not a game, quite a few 360 games in the future will likely use CryEngine2. 

I am sorry for the confusion.

I was just hoping that they would start implementing this engine into the next line-up of console games.

I was really impressed with the Building Destruction as well as the Character Terrain Reactions!
