I just got this game for 35 this last weekend, and I think it's pretty good. Obviously it's graphics are superior, but I think the gameplay is very solid. What are your thoughts of this game?

I saw a commercial for it that showed buildings collapsing and huge tidal waves and such- are there a lot of moments like that in game, or is it like one cutscene and that's it?

Lot of buildings falling and moving in the game but you cant really do that yourself with the weapons, there isnt much destruction in the game caused by the player excelt a few walls and the commen barrel/box etc.

I can live with that- I just remember seeing the commercial and hoping it wouldn't be a 40th Day-style one shot. I'm actually going to make an effort now to obtain this game. Thanks.

I really enjoyed it a lot. Definetly one of my favorite games this year so far along with portal 2.

Crysis 2 is a great game imo. It is not consolized it is just not improved from crysis 1. You still should be happy you bought the HD 6990 since you will need it in the future for games like BF3.

There is plenty of destruction and buildings collapsing, but it's all in game not cutscene. You can choose to look around while buildings are falling and collapsing. The tidal wave thing is in the beggining when your submarine is flooded and you must escape and reach the surface before drowning.

I actually enjoyed the single player a lot more than the multiplayer. I played the multiplayer beta, and was impressed, but it seemed like there were too many problems. I don't actually have the game yet, but I have played some of the singleplayer and I thought it was amazing. The general agreement that I have seen generally points to liking the singleplayer more, but that could be wrong.

The only flaw I have with it was when I would snipe in 3D I don't know if i was just seeing things or what but there would be 2 crosshairs. Other then that the games decent.

I was disappointed with it and believed Crytek did an overall bad job going multiplatform.

Graphics: They had there moments, but they also had some ugly moments too. (KZ3 is still FPS graphics king)
Gameplay: The mechanics, climbinb sliding and such, were awesome. (wish Halo would borrow from its gameplay) But it always felt off. I didn't like the controller feel nor did lowering or raising the sensitivity help.
MP: Was garbage...period. I really can't say anything good about the MP. I haven't found a MP which I so despised as this besides maybe MW2. (which was awful)
Camapign: I did enjoy the campaign but not enough to play it over and over.

Between an unenjoyable MP, the sheer amount of bugs/glitches, and the worst A.I. of any AAA game to date and it was just a bad purchase in my book.
I kept waiting for patches but they never came. Sold it to a friend.

As a $60 purchase I was dissapointed, but for $30ish, eh...

This unfortunately. Singleplayer was good, but the multiplayer was absolute trash. Poor hit detection, all-around lag, unbalanced game mechanics... it is just a mess.

I liked it a lot. I mean when was the last time you played a 10+ hour long single player campaign? Not only that but the game has amazing graphics. Maybe it is not as good as Crysis 1 but the game is well worth it.

I liked it a lot. The SP campaign makes the last CoD I played (MW2) look like complete crap.

It's a good game, but it has it's flaws like most games. I enjoyed the sp game, and the mp is doable, I just don't think the experience will be lasting as say the dead space series.

Great weapon customization. Looks great. Controls great Singleplayer made unbelievably easy by cloaking. Too linear. Noticeable popup. Bugs. Lag

I have posted in the forums before about my feelings on Crysis 2. I couldn't help but feel disappointed by that game. The gameplay is solid and the graphics are good but there is something about it that prevents it from being a great game to me.

Glitchy haha. I've had rocket launchers with no sights and doors that were supposed to open but never did. Check out my blog to read about my rainbow grenade launcher :P Other than that it's a lot of fun. I'm excited to see what other bugs are in store for me.

I love Crysis 2. It's one of the best FPSes I've played in a long time. It does a really nice job of blending stealth and run-and-gun elements.

One of the better single player FPSs I've played in long time; solid length, sandboxy-ish gameplay, and some epic moments. However, the game is not without it's flaws too.

Rented it from gamefly a few weeks back. I loved the single player campaign alot!!!! I beat it in about a week and thought the ending was just right, The miltiplayer is fun BUT the cloaking I feel gets WAYYYYYYYY to overused and it becomes very annoying at times to where it doesn't feel like a first person shooter. I know your probably wondering what I mean but if you play or played it I am sure you will understand. Anyway with that said I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars

Buy it for the single player campaign, It's a lot of fun and not too short like most first person shooters these days, like everyone else said, it's overall just a solid SP experience. I found the multiplayer to be annoying at first, but it grows on you, it's like a COD Halo hybrid, but I found it fresh enough to be fun for a while and i'll probably go back to it. If you see it for $35 or less go for it, but i wouldn't buy it for more than that.

Well, I was pumped for this game when I first saw the trailers but after playing the multiplayer demo, I thought that it was way too much like Call of Duty.

Graphically it's among the best on consoles today, but overall as someone who have played and beating the first one and the expansion, I felt disappointed by the single player and multiplayer of the game, overall it was good, but the weak a.i., cod like multiplayer and fact that you could abuse stealth i though really hurt the game, the story didn't do wonders for me as well, it was a good game, but there are better shooters out there right now.

I didn't like the campaign as much as Crysis 1/Warhead. Could have been a lot better.
