I personally think crysis will be on the on the xbox bye next chrixtmas simply because it seems that every single xbox 360 game is also on the PC. (gears, Bioshock, Orange Box). Hopefully, microsoft will work to get crysis remade on Xbox 30. What do u thinkGOW-Freakcrytec says "Crysis is not possible on consoles"
I laugh at that statement. It's most certainly possible. Wait and see.

Well some form of Crysis is possible on a console, but the game in its full glory cannot be done. If it is bringing current high end PCs to their knees on max settings there is no hope for the Xbox. It'll be like Far Cry, it will come over in some way, just not the best way.
Anybody remember gears? That also had insane graphics. I think its possible to make it on a console. But they probably won't make it on 360.
agreed, it wont happen, stop dreaming. the xbox360 isnt nearly powerful enough to support crysisThE_SoCK
how can a pc gameovercome xbox? i saw videos on youtube and 360 graphics are way better than that

obvious you know little about pcs...pcs can be upgraded continiously non stop ...a 360...just can't be updated except software wise not hardware...Crysis takes full advantage of top of line hardware for pcs...if we do a get a x360 version...it will be crap...and 360 graphics are no where near Crysis...that game is beautifully detailed everywhere...i will love to play the game on the x360 since my pc is crap but my hopes aren't anywhere near high...

Lets face it, DOOM came to Xbox when it required a PC that dwarfed the Xbox and looked pretty damn good. I'd give it a 50/50 that Crysis comes to 360. Most people playing Crysis right now are playing it on settings that are entirely achieveable on the 360 anyway so there ya go.blue-fish'
you have the most ignorant sig ive ever seen
crytec is working on a 360 game, but it won't be crysis. Why not? cause crysis requires dx10 and the 360 can't support it. But i suppose they could port a watered-down version.callen3
So what about the DX9 version of Crysis? Is that a myth?

As Gamespot's review stated, and as I completely agree, far cry instincts was wayyyy better than the original pc far cry.
And this could be possible with Crysis, too. Never know.
Quad core
4gb ram
8800gtx sli
Crysis can bring that system to it's knees so i dont think the 360 would handle it at all well unless the graphics were on low and same goes for the PS3.

I agree that his sig is very ignorant but he has a point with his Crysis argument. The majority of people aren't even playing Crysis on Maximum settings.
Did we forget about a game called Warhound??? Closest thing to Crysis!

They said Crysis was NEVER coming to consoles however their other creation far cry 2 will be.
Crysis' engine supports DX9 video cards, which is what the 360 has. The 360s GPU and CPU can easily handle the game as well as a PC meeting the minimum specs. The only thing that would make porting to the 360 difficult is memory.
512MB shared memory probably isn't enough since the PC version requires 1GB of RAM and a 256MB video card. A well-tuned XP install uses a little over 200MB of RAM when idle, and you can't use up 100% of RAM or paging will destroy performance. So my guess is that to render at 720p on the 360 (little OS overhead), the game engine needs at least 768MB of shared memory and an extremely intelligent memory manager.
So a Crysis game for the 360 (or PS3 for that matter) would require a super fast content streaming engine (much better than GTA's), drastically reduced texture quality, or significantly smaller environments. That is why Crytek's statements about the game are entirely believable.
