Crysis is coming to Xbox 360

People make is seem like if Crysis got ported onto the 360 or PS3 that it would have horrible graphics. Sure they wouldn't be as good as they are on a very high-end PC, but both consoles have shown they are more than capable of putting out some games with amazing graphics. A "toned down" version of crysis would still look better than most games that are out for either console.z-man34

Indeed. I doubt many people who talk about how bad Crysis would look on a 360 or PS3 compared to the PC version have never seen the PC version maxed out. Crysis would definitely run well and look great on the consoles. If this is true, I look forward to adding this game to my collection.

Its amazing to me how many people believe all Crysis did well was its graphics. Personally I would say it's one of the best, if not THE BEST shooter ever made. Besides the great graphics, it takes the best parts of Battlefield, Counter Strike, and Far Cry and lumps them into 1 really awesome game

As far as console versions, though... of course it will not run Crysis on very high settings --> All computer games look far superior on the PC version. CoD4, as great as it looked on consoles, looked much better on PC. Believe me - I've played both.

In my opinion, the 360 would probably run Crysis about equivalent to Medium or Medium Low PC settings. I know that seems pretty low but remember, when you are playing multiplayer and Nukes and Singularity Cannons are going off everywhere, the consoles still MUST RUN THE GAME ABSOLUTELY SMOOTHLY! there are no settings to move around, so they must set the graphics low enough to ALWAYS run the game smoothly. ----->>> and for the record, I have both Crysis and CoD4 for PC and Medium settings on Crysis looks at least as good as CoD4 on highest... not even kidding

it's okay, but the multiplayer is really, really bad for today's standards (even that one free game F.E.A.R. Combat has better multiplayer). gets real old after beating it once, but it's probably 07's best pc game.

if my crap computer could run it, so can a 360 (or even PS3 at the least). if it does come to 360, it might not be max or anything, but it should at least work. even so, great graphics won't fix Crysis's problems

But remember kids: there is not a computer on the market (pre-built or otherwise) that can run Crysis 60 frames-per-second with all settings maxed. So the argument that the game should only be run on a system that could max it is just ridiculous, since not even the most advanced computer hardware can do that. Anyway, the game looks great on medium-high settings (or so I'm told), so why deny 360 users the pleasure of playing the game just because it can't be maxed?

Also: if you don't understand hardware specs: don't even ****ing try to claim that the 360 couldn't handle Crysis. You have no idea what you're saying, you're just repeating what some other moron who probably also does not understand hardware said. The 360 can handle Crysis, maybe not maxed, but unlike some of you seem to believe, games can be scaled up and down depending on the quality of the machine they're running on. It's not like there's only one version of Crysis that can be played and that's max quality (see above section).

Crysis on a nice rig is AMAZING.

Crysis the way it is on PC, will never happen on 360 or ps3... the reason you ask? THE RAM and VIDEOCARDS in the ps3 and 360 cannot handle crysis on high or ultra high like a good rig can.

I*f there is a crysis game on ps3 and 360, IT WONT BE HALF AS GOOD AS THE PC VERSION
