Crysis on 360

I think it's confirmed the crysis engine will be used on consoles, but not that Crysis was coming. (lack of confirmation crysis is coming doesn't mean it's not, though, either)PiNwOrM

I dont think a 360 or ps3 could handle the true grpahics and I dont think they want a downgraded version. Maybe down the road but I cant see it happening for at least a year.DontEvenTry0

Whether they want a downgraded version or not, I'm sure they do want money, which they'll make if they put Crysis on 360.

I played and beat Crysis on my PC. It was a good game, but not revolutionary in any way, except for the graphics and physics. The AI was pretty good, but not that great. The greatest AI I've seen in a FPS would have to be F.E.A.R.paul52181

I have to dissagree with you, Crysis IS a revolutionary game from the future IMO.

The graphics are years ahead of anyt other game, the sound is some of the best ive ever witnessed (maybe its because i have an amazing sound card now), the gameplay is fantastic and i just love how you can go anywhere you want and do the missions anyway you see fit, the AI is good, the characters are interesting... Crysis is a game from the future and shouldnt be PORTED imo, because with the ram and video card that the 360 has, it cant run crysis in its TRUE FORM. Maybe a rehash remade for consoles, but it wont be half as good if it ever happens.

IMO Crysis is the greatest singleplayer FPS ever. if you have a high end pc its very very amazing to see thi game in person :D

Did you not read what I wrote? I wrote that it's not revoultionary except for the graphics and physics, which is pretty much what you wrote as well. As far as the open-ended gameplay goes.....Far Cry accomplished this in 2004. And I played this game on all High settings for my PC. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the game, but it could've been a lot better. And yes, you're right. If this game gets ported to the 360 and PS3, it would suck. They cannot handle the hardware demands that this game requires and it would just look and play like crap.

There is nothing special about halo's visuals, compared to whats out now its pretty bad by comparison

Thats BS, Crysis has the best graphics around and some of the best gameplay ever seen in a FPS. Truely a game from the future. I hope the Crysis series goes on the next xbox as its a fantastic series.

although Crysis takes the graphics department, i dont think the single player is better than half life

Whilst I love Gears of War and Halo and rate them as good as Crysis, they are games that are well suited to the 360 hardware. Crysis has much higher textures, objects have much higher poly-count and there is a huge amount of HDR happening at any one time. Consider it does this all with huge draw distances then you see why in it's current form Crysis cannot be done on the 360.

It could if the levels were either broken up into sections or the draw distance was dramatically scaled down and if the game was run and optimised to an equivalent of say low-medium settings it may get around 30fps on the 360. But then, you wouldn't be getting the experience the game was designed to give.

In all fairness, the game was highly praised for more than just it's graphics. All the reviews across the board rate the game highly. There are many pretty games out there that get bad reviews because of average gameplay but still have good graphics.

Holy epic bump, Batman. This topic is nine months old. Where do people find these?

Anyway, I don't know why someone wouldn't put Crysis out on 360, since virtually every other shooter comes out for the console. Yeah, the graphics requirements are steep, but I'd think they could just tone that down enough for it to run on Xbox.
