Current Gen Games better than Last Gen Games?

I thought about this the other day. I'm having way more fun with the games that are currently out (XBOX 360 and PS3) than I did with any of the games from last gen (PS2 and XBOX). It may just be me, but I have almost 40 games between both systems. I never thought I'd have this many games so early in the life cycle of both systems. I still have most of my old XBOX and PS2 games and that number is less than 30.

I don't think it has to do with just the fact that they're in HD and all that, but just the quality of the gameplay, extra content, multiplayer, etc, etc. Not trying to say that I don't or didn't enjoy loads of last gen games, but I can just see how well the current gen is going and where it will be going in the next 5+ years...hopefully. What do you guys think? Agree/Disagree?

i acutlly agree here. I can just think of more amazing games this gen than i can from the last. And this gen is only half way done

In my opinion, the best games are past us now. Very few "new ideas" exist, especially in the RPG realm. My favorite game was Shenmue on the dreamcast.Brandon_
