I have a weird problem with my d pad, besides the 360 d pad being awful anyway,

It seems like theres too much room in the space where it is, so it seems to shift around while i push to the sides or up, then when I go to push down, it is almost, jamming, sort of, its justnot feeling right when I push it down.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about, or can think of a way to fix this annoying problem, please tell me.

I had the exact same problem with my old controller before I bought a new one. I can't think of a free/cheap way to fix it, and If u have a warranty over the controller and doubt that would cover it. hmmmm you could try.

I had one that did that. I kinda got used to it. The good news is most Xbox games don't make liberal use of the D-pad anyway. I hate Xbox d-pads. I've had 4 different controllers over the years and on each one, the D-pad played a little differently, and none of them have played well.

My PSP phat developed that wobble, and my used DS lite i just bought came with that "feature"

I did end up fixing my psp of that. All i did was add one lair of tape to each side of the d-pad to Shim it up so it didnt wobble. I dont think the 360 controller works the same as the psp pad, but you might still be able to tighten it up if you want to open up the controller.
