i know this question gets answered frequently but what is better? component or vga? i just had a 720p 32inch hdtv by element(circuitcity make) for $400. i don't want to spend much on cable so is there a point in upgrading to VGA? some people say vga is better, some people it is the same, so what do u think i should do?

No, what the hell is VGA going to do?

Component outputs a signal up to 1080i

Unless you have a TV that does not support component, then there is no reason to run out and buy a cable.

EDIT: Supossedly you can up-sample old DVD movies with VGA or HDMI on 360. I have tested this and the quality is terrible because the 360 is a cheap DVD player.
