I'd like to play the game but I'm a little disappointed by the different reviews I'm reading?

Is anyone already playing it? Your impression?

the story is kinda lackluster, but, if you looking for straight good graphics and cool combat that lasts about 9-10hours, its a good game. I bought it along with Rainbow Six Vegas2 and I play it a tad more. But Dark Sector is NOT a Xbox Live game

My friend told me it was a Gears of War rip off. He said the game was good just that he felt they copied a lot of stuff that Gears of War had and didn't do it as well as Gears. A random guy on xbox live said the same thing about the game. I say go and rent it.

i was in blockbuster and they had like 10 copies, but i really didn't feel like even playing it. idk if i want to play a game like resident evil 4, as gametrailers review copares it to, i would play resident evil 4. if i wanted to play a game like gears of war, i would play gears of war. i guess it just doesn't appeal to me imo.

I dont know about anyone else, but I really enjoy it. Graphics are right up there with Gears of War. Almost, but not quite. It does look like a Gears of War inspired video game, but I promise you, it does many things differently. And it feels different as well. Just like Gears of War, this game focuses more on action than storytelling, which isnt bad at all. It actually makes sense, although I would have loved for Dark Sector to have more narration/story. I enjoy a great storyline. DS is highly addicting, the glaive never gets old, and weapons are solid. Boss fights are incredible and just breathtaking. I had so much fun, and I know that people who give this game a chance will too. So far, two games that recieved a 7-7.5 average have been winners in my eyes and I'm pretty sure many will agree. Lost Odyssey and Dark Sector fall into this category, and they're both sleeper hits. Overlooked and underated. And one thing, sometimes you have to try a game for yourself, and other people's opinions shouldnt matter. Listening to others just means you're incompetent in making your own decisions, therefore, you'll miss out on great games. Be a bit more open minded, and you'll find that great games arent just the ones with high ratings and big sales. Halo 3 stunk in my opinion, yet it did well in sales, and popularity. To me, it's just a $65 coaster for my coffee mug, that's if I drink coffee. This is just some food for thought.

You say opinions don't matter yet you tell them to listen to you basically.

And why bash games in the middle of your mini review?
