Dead Island trailer is amazing!

There's a trailer for Dead Island that just came out on ign, and it's amazing. This game had completely fallen off my radar, but now it's back in a big way. One of my favorite trailers all-time! Check it out at ign.

i thought this game had been cancelled, its been so long since it was announced, about 3 or 4 years ago and we have never seen anything from it, but i guess they were still working on it

lets hope the gameplay is good, cause the trailer sure is sweet...

Wow... Thought the game was going to be amazing since it was announced...

But this trailer is trailer of the year! (If there's such a thing), it was depressing, but amazing.

I remember seeing an in game trailer for this in 2008, maybe 2009, and it looked pretty good. This trailer just made it one of my most anticipated games. Great music, and great emotion.

I thought the game got canned, guess i was wrong. Still that trailer was pretty good.

First off, finally some promotion for Dead Island. It's been in production long enough. Two, ****ing WOW! That was the illest trailer I've seen... ever. Game trailers lack that cinematic feel, that did not. But now I have high expectations for for the graphics, it's kinda like the Deus Ex trailer. They show the first trailer then they show gameplay footage and I'm like, meh. It's important they show gameplay as not to set my expectations to high..

Screw it I'm gonna watch it again. They won't be releasing that trailer on Live or PSN, to graphic. Which I like.

Really impressed by the trailer. It was really good, can't wait to see more info on this game.

That's one of the better announcement/cgi trailers I've ever seen. Really really well done. Like everyone else, it will depend on gameplay.

However, I am getting sick of zombies. I'm way past being into that whole trend.

I agree that zombies are really overdone, but this game seems like it will actually have a good story to back it up. I'm also really liking what I've heard about the combat. There's a new preview on ign along with the trailer, check it out here:

First I've heard of this game as well, but apparently its been in the works since 2007??? Anyways the trailer was really cool...now how does it compare to the game is the question.

The trailer was far and above excellent. However, because of the delay in related material (spanning 3 or 4 years) and the simple fact that this game almost never saw the light of day, I'm going to hold off on any speculation as to whether or not the game play will be solid. After all, it's just a trailer and did not reveal any game play what so ever. At least we get a basic idea of the storyline though ;)

Talk about getting the public's attention. The official trailer has 1.7 million views on youtube. That's not even counting the other duplicates that have a few hundred thousand views as well.

I don't hope it's a dead rising rip off. I dislike that game. I personally think it will be an escape the zombies game. As in running for survival. Kinda like l4d but with a real plot.LustForSoul

Looks great! I've been waiting for a good zombie game that takes it self seriously. I mean Dead Rising is fun and all but a little goofy.

Another article mention the possibility of combining items, like in deadrising, thats mostly what the person you quoted meant.

Wow... Dead Island is getting a film adaptation of the game! That should be fantastic if it's anything like the trailer!
