[QUOTE="incred_davis"] [QUOTE="chasingmaynard"]You don't get it lol...people are complaining BECAUSE you have to restart the game 3-4 times, who the hell wants to do that ? you mean to tell me you don't know how restarting a game 3 times can frustrate someone into hating the save system ??? c'mon.

People replay other games all of the time... so why doesn't Dragon Age Origins suck? Or Mass Effect? Lol... Okay, I shouldn't compare two incredible games to Dead Rising, but seriously... if you have such a gripe with restarting the game after an hour or so (with the mindset of "holy crap, I can now hold more weapons and more health... I'll really slaughter them now!!), then you just don't like the gameplay, and it has nothing to do with the save system or restarting. I LOVE the gameplay and all of the weapons in the game, (and the Dawn of the Dead knockoff story), so I loved restarting, just to do the beginning better.
Maybe it also helps that when I play Dead Rising I usually have "Dawn of the Dead" playing on a TV next to me... Mmmm... Zombies...
I can agree with this, the other guy compared it to dying in Rainbow Six Vegas (which has checkpoints) so I didn't really get were he was going with that lol.It was a stretch to compare those two massive Bioware games, but it all boils down to gameplay and what you enjoy (especially if you try and play Dead Rising as a shooter... which it wasn't designed for).
I don't care if some people hated the gameplay, but I find it a bit hard to swallow when people blame the save/restart mechanic, as if having to save at only specific points has never been done in games before. Far Cry 2 comes to mind... and Dead Space... and the first Final Fantasy on the 8-bit Nintendo, lmao.
