Dead Rising Help Please.

Hey guys, well i rentedthe game and so far it's awesome but i'm stuck on two parts.

Both of these parts are after you get the medecine for the guy that got shot in the leg.

Alright, well let's start off with that gun shop (by the way, i checked the game walkthrough and found nothing on this guy). I enter the gun shop and it cuts to a cutscene, it shows the guy behind the counter shoot another guy that appeared beside me. When the cutscene's over i have to fight the guy. The things i have are a baseball bat, 20 shots left for a submachine gun, a couple of shots left for my handgun, and finally a knife.

I have no clue how to defeat this guy, i try aiming with one of my guns but i'm not fast enough cause he'll just shoot me with his, and when i try jumping the counter to hit him with my bat/knife i'll either get shot, or i'll get one ortwo hits before he picks my up and throws me away. How do you kill him?

And the second troublesome part for me is killing the guy in the home depot kinda store with the headless bodies hung upside down. i use the hedge clippers against him and it usually get me to around 1/2 of his health but then it just goes down hill from there, i looked at the online guide, but it says i need a shotgun of uzi found at the gun shop. Is there any other methods on killing this guy?

So as you see i'm pretty screwed here without the gunshop, please help!

alright cool, thanks, but is it possible to crouch in the game cause he shoots me if i'm standing behind one of those twirly racks

go to the knife shop before you fight him. grab yourself some nice blades and go back to the gun shop. once he starts to fire at you keep goingin zig-zags untill you get over the counter. then start slashing at him. slash him once then get away from him or hell grab you and throw you away. thats take quiet a lot of health from you.

or you can look for a machine gun (one is on top of the store of paradise plaza, go on top of the toy shop next to the jewlery shop from the stairs and run across to the end until you fing the gun, note: youll have to pass the teddy bear and the box to get to it. the second one is in the the circled fountain, i guess thats where you got your machine gun.) then go outside of the gun store, kill all the zombies in the area, and shoot the phycopath from a distance, make sure your far enough so he wont shoot you back. just keep aiming at head and shooting untill he dies.

or you can kill the crazy ex-cons on the jeep with the rail gun behind it, take the gun and gor over to that bastard with the shogun and shoot him, hell die in one second if you get his head.

Another tip is to kill Adam the clown and you get his mini-chainsaw's, then grab a few books from some shops that will increase the life of your chainsaw, will make your first play through a bit easier and boss fights much easier.

Another tip for the war vet in the store, is once you hurt him and he goes to throw grenades, leave the shop then go back in, he will be back on the ground ready for you to just hit him again.

No sadly there isn't. Stock up on any guns, swords, and health you can before going to fight him. It's tough due to the games limitations and awkward firing controls but it's worth it.

As for the second guy guns do help (a lot) but the best general advice I can give is to watch out for his explosives and take your time.

Cletus is total push over.

In the beginning of the game... when you get your first case 'Back Up for Brad,' DON'T go to the Food Court. Instead, head straight to the Huntin Shack instead. If you get there before you do Back Up For Brad, Cletus will not be there. You can grab a bunch of guns, do Back Up For Brad, then fight Cletus with better weapons.

An easier way to kill him, I believe is just to use Adam's chainsaws. The chainsaws don't miss it's target, unlike the Katana, and it's fast and takes off way more health.

Count how many times he shoots at you. He has to reload/drink after every 6th shot. Run up to him with your chainsaws and hit him a few times. The chainsaws usually kill any psycho in justabout 3 hits.

If you grab a sniper rifle. you can wait OUTSIDE of the huntin shack. He will try to shoot you even though you're outside. Just take him out from there with an Uzi or a Sniper Rifle. head shots kill him in 3 or 3 shots.

As for Cliff (hatchet man), again... mini chainsaw is all you need. He's really not that hard. You just have to get him to chase you and fight with melee attacks, and just chainsaw him. He's quite easy.
