EA seems to be breaking off from their trends and sending a new Horror game our way. To be released on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in the fourth quater of 2008. Seemingly out of the blue they are trying a new approach to their gaming resume.
If you haven't heard about Dead Space, theres an article about it in Game Informer. Pretty much it's going to be like Silent Hill, set in space. It's a horror game, not a shooter game. In which you fight aliens who take over their enemies bodies (Flood anyone?) However, they say it's going to be no shooter, you'll spend alot of time looking for ways around the Necromorphs rather than actually fighting them. The whole idea is a scary game, not a shoot em up. If anyone else has heard of this game, I just wanted to know your opinons....

Because the article was in Game Informer, there aren't many links containing the material it did. However if anyone has any links for it feel free to post them.
Is Dead Space a little of Halo and Silent Hill combined, knocking off both of them?
Or does it have potential of being a good start of a franchise worth playing?
Will Dead Space fall out because it's being made by play-it-safe EA, or will a new approach to games bring EA some lime light?
My opinion on it? I'm hopeing that Dead Space will bring a fresh game without taking some helpful ideas from any others. It looks like a game I will at least try the demo on if there is one. Maybe it will turn into an awesome franchise and bring EA some respect.
