I just rented the game and I'm on the second level on easy right now and I was wondering if there was anything I needed to know about the game and if you guys had any tips on how to play it the best way.

playing on easy? ruined
why's that? No thrill, it'll be a wash runthrough lol. I platinum'd Dead Space on PS3 (1000 G'd in 360 Lingo) and it was so much fun. The atmosphere was amazing and it was so much fun to dismember stuff. I loved the Plasma Cutter and Plasma Rifle, they were amazing lol. Play the game on a higher difficulty otherwise you won't have as much, trust me it's a lot more fun to play when you're all jumpy and nervous.playing on easy? ruined

I played through on normal and it kind of toned down the atmosphere, then when playing on hard it was that much more enjoyable. My advice is:
1. Turn the difficulty on hard. There is no thrill akin to getting rushed at by 4 Necromorphs at a time in the early levels whilst only being able to kill them by shooting them like 6 times in the leg and then curb stomping them. Impossible difficulty's a bit too far, though.
2. UPGRADE YOUR RIG AHEAD OF ANYTHING ELSE. Your amount of health and breath allowed makes MUCH more difference than the power of your guns.
3. Play in a dark environment by yourself late at night. You will sleep with one eye open.
:)
i disagree, for ure first playthrough i recommend an easier difficulty, then play your second one on impossible. ok, only use these three main guns:
1-Plasma Cutter
2-Line Gun
3-Force Gun
thats pretty much all you'll ever need, oh yeh, wait to upgrade your throw distance till last, and your stasis length based on where your enemies are at (later levels u need longer stasis to actually stop em for any significant time). your rig is important, but you want damage early, then capacity, then reload

Possibly, but do you really think a straight jump from Easy/Medium to Impossible is a great idea? The contrast is massive. My advice would be to have your first playthrough on Medium to get the ropes, Hard to master the game and then Impossible to go for the 150 G.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that stasis is VERY important.

i jumped from easy to impossible, didnt have that much troubleRemember you can use alternative fire pressing RB. This is most useful on the default free gun, it is also the best gun out there. For me, the machine gun is good to fight fast enemies. The firing rate will knockback enemy like crazy. Focus on three weapons since you only have enough money to upgrade 2 weapons anyway. If you want money, get chain saw, it sells big cash and the ammo is over flowing. Beware you end up getting all chain saw ammo and very little plasma cutter ammo.magicalclickcontact gun is better, ammo sells for 1000 a pop
