Its a great game, i completely enjoyed the experience - even played it through 4 times =Dmikesta88
WOW! :-)
Probably because most of us bought it, played it, enjoyed it + beat it over a month ago.mikesta88replace "bought" with "rent" and "month" with "week" and you got me pegged lol
Perhaps I'm missing something here, but I always thought demos should release before the game actually comes out.Floppy_Jim
Yeah, I think of a demo as a "teaser" for the full game, like an interactive advertisement. A way to get people excited about your game. That being said, I think releasing a demo that is even slightly glitchy can back-fire, and turn people off.
You can have all the disclaimers in the world on your demo about it not being indicative of the final product, but most people are going to remember their experience, good or bad.
Releasing a demo after the full game is released is still advertising your game. There are still people left that haven't played Dead Space (I would like to meet these cave-dwellers. j/k!) I think this demo would be for those people who have heard most of the positive things about this game, but still can't decide if it is right for them. And, EA has the benefit of being able to release a more polished demo (in theory) reflective of actual game quality.
