honestly, they both get really repetitive. they both have really good stories with really good gameplay. i've got a 980 gs on assassin's and about a 755gs on dead space, so i've played them both a lot. for me, tho, i feel like i'd lean towards dead space. i felt like the weapon upgrading and the atmosphere made it much more enjoyable. the traveling aspect of assassin's creed made it kind of really frustrating. it's awesome to explore and go from place to place, but at times it's like seriously, i've been here a lot, just let me get to the next place. i'm bored with this.

go for dead space, no doubt. why? because i have both games and assassin creed is very good, but not GREAT, meanwhile dead space is AWESOME. Assassin creed are OKAY, but dead space give more impact and solid feeling of gaming experience :)
Id go with Dead Space. Its one of the more atmospherical, intense, and scary games ive ever played and the gameplay rocks.
If were you i would rent Assassins Creed or buy it at a cheap price because it too is a great game but it tends to become a little repetitive towards the end.
I heard very good things about Dead Space and I rather enjoyed the Demo. I played Assassin's Creed on both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, and I enjoyed it even the second time through. You should decide which atmosphere you would prefer. Horror or Crusade? Also, Assassin's Creed has a sequel on the way, so if you were thinking about picking that up, it would probably make sense to play its predecessor.
Personally, I would pick Assassin's Creed. But I haven't played much of dead space. The entire setting of Assassin's Creed was what I found very appealing.
A know they are both different games but I would go for Dead Space if you are a fan of horror & gore. Assassin's Greed was one of the most disappointing games in 2007 I.M.O
LOL everyone who keeps saying assassin's creed is overrated or not great or as good as dead space your very wrong.....assassin's creed was amazing and the gameplay was something new...dont get me wrong dead space is awesome i loved it but all it is, is DOOM and Resident Evil put together into one game ....it felt like i was playing a game i've went through already before ...it reminded me to much of those games....Assassin's creed is a better buy for sure

Just because I think Assassin's Creed is nothing more than something to look pretty, doesn't mean I'm wrong. AC's gameplay is extremely repetitive and quite boring after the initial "WOW factor."
