Seriously I'm looking on ebay for a deal on a CHEAP Xbox. As long as it works I'm cool. I don't mind if its not HDMI or if its faceplate fell off or whatever. Just looking for a cheap one in case I can score a good deal.

I'm seeing tons of listing for broken RROD xboxes for like 80-120 bucks. WTF. really? You can get a new one not broken for 199 with a warranty and the cables.

All these auctions offer no cables, no harddrive, no memory card, and no controller. Controllers are 60 bucks each!

What is wrong with this planet! GRRR Rant over!

That's how my friend buys them. They come broken, he cracks them open, fixes them, and then he plays. Think he has 3 or 4 of them, and from buying them online to getting what's needed to fix them, only costs him anywhere from $70-$120.

If I could find a RROD 360 for $30-40 (Original) I'd pick it up. It's silly that people expect $80+ for them ;) Out of warranty RRODs are worthless to them anywa.

Just so you don't speak this nonesense again there's a few things you should know: - RROD 360s sell well because you can use the spare parts (processor, fans and specially the disc drive) - The new 360's (Falcon and Jasper) come with a new Lite-on Drive that can't get flashed, so flashers are replacing the new disc drives with older models (specially the Samsung). - MS is not the only company repairing 360s. In my town there are 2 stores that are repairing 360s. - My 360 RROD and I sold it for $90. The guy told he could really use the disc drive and some other parts. So, in the future, consider the world to be a bigger place with more possibilities.

We're at the point in time where it's no longer necessary to differentiate between 360 and the original xbox in the vast majority of cases. Xbox = 360 for all intensive purposes.

just an FYI... its "all intents AND purposes"... not "all intensive purposes". its a common mistake, but one that would get you a failing grade on a paper in any english class i have taken!
