Decent Gamerscore?

Im new to the 360 and was wondering what your gamerscore is and what would be considered decent?

I WOULD mention mine here but It really is quite horrible,

I consider anything above 10,000 to be decent.

I think i have 5,550 ATM. I think 5K is decent enough.

I really like getting achievements, but i'm not obsessed.

Achievements seem cool, but pointless, and I don't like achievements whores. I wish achievements were actually harder to get and actually rewarded you instead of giving you points and make you play online with achievement whores.SpootyHead

Yeah maybe for like every 10 or 100 achievement points you got, you got one MS point. It wouldn't be a ton, but it would be something.

Depends how long youve had it. Id say if you average 5k a year its decent. Ive had mine since launch and have 30,056

My old gamertag was 4000, then I got bored and decided to make a new account and im only at 1155. Then again I've only played three games, NBA 2k6, Rainbow Six and Call of Duty 3.

My gamerscore is 54,260 and i find it verydifficult to respect anyone with a lower score than meDaz11811

People have other things to do then try to get 54,261 points just to have your respect, because once they achieve your respect they would lose everyone else's since they would have no life. Thats 54 games played ATLEAST, considering you got 1000 points from each game which isnt likely, so lets make that what? 100 games considering you average about 500 achievement points per game. Idk bout you but anyone that has that many achievement points needs to go outside and enjoy life for once.

wow, does GS really matter?

I've played with people who have less than 200 points and can kick my ass in any game... I don't get the big deal about Gamerscore at all... I have about 6500, but i never went for any of them.

I'm working toward 10,000 right now. I don't think the Gamerscore makes you a better player, it just shows you are knowledgable about many games on the Xbox 360. It's kinda like your gaming GPA.spidey008

Not really, my friend has 25,000 gamerscore, he has no knowledge about games on the 360. I have 4,000 and know more than him.
