So I have never played the Def Jam games but I downloaded the demo and it ROCKS!!! My bro has played the other ones and says this one is BY FAR the best! I might have to pick this game up (probably will wait to play my bros copy first since he is getting it). I love the feel and how it takes a lot of the good mechanics of Fight Night R3 but puts it into a brawler. Also, the environments are sweet and I love how you use the music to your advantage! This game will rock!
I never played the others as well but I do like this one alot. You were right on about the fight night style. My ONLY complaint so far is that the characters move kinda slowly. Looks like a sleeper 360 hit though.

Well the Fight Night style makes sense because the main dude on it was the Fight Night dude which is awesome because I love the gameplay. I will say they do move a touch slow but it's not enough to make it really affect the gameplay. Plus, you might be able to speed up the game in the options. I think it will totally be a sleeper hit and I'm glad you said that because I was actually going to say it in my original post but forgot! I can't wait for the game to come out!

This game rocks Is there still over the top "special moves" specific to each character, and does it play as slow as it looks? It's slow cuz it's the CES demo. Check out the new videos on www.gametrailers.com. That's how fast the full version will be. The demo is timed, so the fight lasts for 180 seconds. So we will really have to wait to check out if the special moves are there. Btw, every character fights differently.
once you get used to the controls, this game is soo much fun!!!! on complaint is that the demo only last for like 3 or 4 minutes, and there as no blazin moves(that we know about) im still going to pick this up because it is a fresh entry into the fighter/brawler series  especially the dj controls( once you learn how to use them correctly, you can make your opponent bounce around like a b-ball:D)
