What did you all think of the Burnout Paradise City demo?

Thought it was poor by burnout standards having no restart after races is a killer. Dosnt seem to be a crash mode, and there is no jump to location for quick races you have to drive about searhing for them. Everything else seems fine but i wouldnt rate the demo very highly.xxmatt125xx
1. Not all of us need to restart :P
2. No crash mode? You seen two gametypes so far. They're not going to give you everything in a demo lol.
3. Why quick jump on open world (I woulda left that out of oblivion for example - more to see)
4. I didn't have to search, I had a quick drive about and they appeared on my radar.
The demo was good, not amazing, but i'll deffinetly be buying this to play online with my friends. Felt just like burnout, visuals were great and the steady framerate was impressive.
I downloaded both the xbox 360 and PS 3 version. Both are similar for the most part, though the PS 3 version has slighlty better frame rate when there are more than 2 cars on screen. Overall , the game is ok.

you are full of **** the ps3 demo isnt even up yet....
It seems like a great idea being open world and all. My only problem was that I wished there was more views. I would have preferred a further chase cam.

That's funny, checked the downloads on my PS3 too and the demo's not there, anywhere...you said you downloaded it...funny...from where?
is it possible to be addicted to a demo? I think I am
I havent played burnout since my ps2 days like 2 years ago. I cannot wait to get this game I may actually pre order it. too bad its more than a month to go till it comes out, i really like the online features aandrew610
Lol, when I bought NFSUG2 I nearly put more hoursinto playingthe Burnout 3 demo that came with it :D
The demo is alright, but most of the things were locked so it was annoying driving back to them. I wish you could change your car in the demo because that car is horrible.
The game is going to be awesome though because even if you fail an event, it wont be long before you just see another traffic light.
good game i suppose but how the hell are you supposed to get 50,000 in the stunt challenge stupid in my opinion i got just over 20k and i was bummed out afterpazz999Go down to the beach and keep getting combos. I got 50,000 from just keeping on going back and forth from the jumps on the beach.
the final game needs 2 things more: warp to races, and reset races.
also, the map can be confusing. it should turn with you instead of being stationary
I've liked it so far, I'll have to check it out when the game comes out in January although perhaps it was me, but I found that Paradise City looks rather small. The area that was blocked off didn't really look like it's that much larger than one of the cities in San Andreas.DrDeath10They said a while ago that at the absolute least it will take 15 minutes to get from end to end of the city. That means fastest car without crashing. :D Id say thats pretty big. I thought the demo was awesome except i would have liked a different veiw than the two that were in there and i would have liked to change the controls up a bit. But other than that it was awesome
I have mixed feelings.
The open world design kind of kills the structured, casual appeal that usually draws me in to a racing game like Burnout.
There is no Crash mode and typically the crashes are of a smaller nature, no more 50-car pile-ups.
The traffic felt sparse, too purposely spread out. Apparently in Paradise, every day is Sunday.
I didn't like that I could not reset an event and had to drive back to restart it.
I don't like the concept of pulling over to end an event, it kills my momentum.
E-brake sliding felt a little too loose compared to power sliding of previous Burnout games, though this may have been due to a car, but I can't tell because they only include one in the demo.
The DJ made me want to stab my ears with metal Q-tips.
The framerate dipped and stuttered as things loaded in the distance, and sometimes chugged during races, which is unacceptable to me in a game like this.
The graphics were decent (especially some of the crashes) but felt kind of flat, though the day/night progression was nice.
Like many EA "eXtrEmE" games, the presentation felt horribly overdone, too many dramatic camera angles, slow-motion crashes, camera effects and the like. Its like a photoshop student that throws every filter effect he can think of in to every picture just because he can.
If this list sound awfully harsh, it is. I've been with Burnout since the beginning (since before the beginning, kinda, but thats another story) and I love the series so I am understandably skeptical when they make these kinds of changes to the formula.
Honestly, it did not feel like a Burnout game to me. My initial impressions have been lower than expected, based on them I would currently rate my demo experience a 7.5. My prediction for a final Gamespot review score: 8 - 8.5.
My xbox 360 broke last night! how unlucky hu!?
So now i have to wait untill i can afford another one...
But untill then i have ps3 but the demo isn't out when i last checked! i can't wait for this game though

I didn't have any problems achieving 50,000. I smashed through 3 billboards and linked them with boosting and drifting. Including multiplayers I finished with 64,000.
