When(if) I pick up my 360 I most likely will only be getting one game at that time. Haven't decided on what it will be. Looking at the following.
Oblivion (kinda found Morrowwind boring but had PC version and that might have been the issue), Gears of War (looked cool but is Lost Planet better?), Perfect Dark Zero (as it cost the least being out the longest I think and I enjoyed the first game on the N64), or Kameo (same for cost and looks interesting).
So my question mainly is how many and what demos are available for play at the moment (will need something else beside older Xbox games to try out on the system)?
Another question is out those listed (other then Oblivion since I know that's a long game) which is longer generally in single player?
I need the gold package for Xbox Live in order to play them online right and to get updates? Or do I get updates no matter what?
What benefits does one get over the Silver package with the Gold package?
Also I know Nintendo hasn't started up it's Player's Choice picks for Wii titles as it just came out however has Microsoft started their problem on Xbox 360 games and if so outside of Perfect Dark Zero are any other games on it, at lower prices then the initial $60?
Hi mate, if i was you i would probably get Oblivion. It is just an amazing experience and good fun, however if you want to have a blast at online gaming get Gears of War. The single player on it is very short and you would probably complete the single player in 2/3 sittings. Kameo and PDZ are also great games, i myself have not got them but i have played them and enjoyed the experience. Now for demos, well there are about 60 i believe. Erm if you want to try out Kameo and PDZ there are demos for that. Silver Package gets: XBL updates Game Updates Download Demos, trailers, music etc You CANNOT play online Gold Package is the above but you CAN play your games online. XBL Gold is really worth getting. Also the cheaper games are the platinum ones, these are $30 and the are PDZ, Call of duty 2, PGR 3, NHL 2k6, NFS most wanted, Burnout revenge and some others.
If you get on Ebay you can get yourself a 1 Year Subscription to Xbox Live Gold for way cheaper than retail price, between $25 & $35. Since you may be having a hard time selecting games to purchase and demos hardly ever portray the true quality of a game you might want to first join a renting service and try them out that way.
