Check this out:

The two new expansion packs are called Point Lookout (which is set in a swamp) and Mothership Zeta (in which pissed-off aliens return to Earth).

The article provides some information on the two expansion packs that will be released on Xbox Live and talks about how all the DLC that is out now for the Xbox 360 (none of it can be downloaded to the PS3) will be dowloadable for the PS3 soon. It also talks about a GOTY Edition and about being able to buy the DLC in add-on packs starting later this month.

What do you think?

I think it's great. Developers should take Bethesda's work as an example for releasing prompt and numerous DLC.

It's good that a developer continues to support its game long after release, but not so keen on the way they milk consumers for money to buy them all - you'll end up paying more for the DLC than the original game, and by the time you've done that a GOTY edition will come out containing them all.

And that is why the consumer must weigh the pros and cons and determine whether playing the expansions early is better than saving money. Not really a hard decision and not really "milking" either.

I think I'm going to wait until the GOTY version is released to buy Fallout 3.

Hell yeah. Mothership Zeta sounds great, the wrecked UFO was probably the most intriguing thing I came upon in Fallout 3. I wonder what insane weapons await us in that expansion, or maybe some wicked alien armor.

Oh yeah and the Liberty Prime voice chip for dogmeat sounds hilarious.

No. No they will not. They will cancel this and work on Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4.

SEANSEXYUNDIES

I like the idea of getting an alien follower. I'm curious to see what they'll look like. And what they'll sound like.

Well this is good news because I was thinking about picking up Fallout 3, but now I'll just wait for the Game of the Year edition.

Yeah I did that with Oblivion. Recently been playing it, and loving it.
