Ok, just picked up this game and I can't get to save it. I mean I always had 1,2 and 3 but when it comes to this one, they made saving impossible. I went up against the first boss that huge "halfmanbearpig" lookalike creature and when I lost it gave me the option to "Save your Progress". When I loaded up my game the next day, I started at the beginning of the mission. This is getting annoying because it has done this 2 times already and I'm in the verge of trading it in.
As with every other game in the series, if you save mid-mission, you'll have to restart the mission when you load the save, but you'll keep any collectables and orbs you've gained.
The missions aren't long, you can save when you finish it. If you save in the middle of the mission, it will keep the orbs and souls that you got, but you will have to start from the beginning of the mission when you return.
